A few years later he coached a ,Minor soccer team (the
Knights) and developed a special rapport with these
youngsters. Stan is 39 years old,• married to Frances and the
father of Scott and Debbie. -
' He has served for two terms on town council and is very
involved in community affairs. Stan is also a real "cut-up"
by which phrase.is meant that . he is a barber by trade!'.
He golfs when he manages some spare time and he loves
to sing and dance which is an inherited Scottish tendency!
He is extremely proficient'on the dance floor. (the singing a
little less so!t)
The Goderich United Soccer Club is proud to have "Stan
the Man" on our team because his 'decisions.tart? 'fair and his
efforts are all for the club's best interests and aims.

United Soccer News
Long: time no see, United folks! Just a quickie report to.let
. you know the United team is alive and well and rarin' to'go
for Sunday's game against Ingersoll! (It's on home' turf at.
4:00 pm)
They've been out for their weekly workouts and we should
be nothing less than fantastic for this match! (nothing like a
.little humility from .".Big Mama" is there, ,folks??)
Although a couple of the guys will be, conspicuous by their
absence off the field, w+.'re confident that we'll give Ingersoll
a good challenge! Try to come 'out 'and add your shouts to
ours and together we should steam up the'boys' efforts! (plus
the fact that we'll completely overwhelm Ingersoll with your
noise and cause them to have chronic deafness!!)
I'm sending out a "Big Mama's Special" to a, special guy
from Toronto who reads us diligently .and is a loyal and
'stalwart fan! Hi, Aden! Keep reading us, guy - we love to be
loved!!
Don't forget folks: Sunday at 4:00 p.m. God bless, keep fit
and stay . .PAYha • ' ' United :we 'stand - Forever.
