returned last week from suc-
cessful play in the Canaei,ian
Amateur golf championship
and the. Willingdon- Cup finals
in Winnipeg, Ken was fourth
ranking golfer in the Amateur
with a 289 aggregate, behind
winner Doug Roxburgh at 280,
Gary Cowan at 284 and
American Charles Gipson' at
2.85.
Ken's Ontarioteam finished
third in Willingdon Cup play
and he was' 'second highest
scoring golfer•on the team. He
was second highest from OP-
tario in the Amateur as well,
Ken said recently that he will
he playing in several more tour
-•na'tnents• this, year, including
the Eastern Four Ball; in
Washington in October::

Last, -but 'itertainly not least in our soccer lineup of
"luminaries",'is 15 year old Iain Larnbert-! This blonde and
blue-eyed wonder is the team's "roc�lr;ie'', our newest: and'
youngest recruit for Gtfderich United: (Ifs l lives' to. be 100
years, he'll still be "the Rookie"!!)
Iain was raised,.a.f1 G.oderich and attended Primary. School
before leaving with••his family fol.e three year .stav-in South
Africa. He .is' currently attending GDCI where "his energies
are used to fullest'adventage in the,school's'sports program.
He's enthusiastic about .basketball, hockey, football and of
c,ourse, soccer! Iain also occasionally enjoys a game of golf,
in which he aleo excels! (Don't you just love a modest sport;
stnan??) '
He is a very Welcome addition to •Goderich United and '
everyone thinks highly of Iain for his earnest attitude and'
happy outlook- on •life. He is defirritely a quality -soccer
player and more i importa?lt, a quality -person!
