Mr. Shrier (at microphone) offered' special. thanks to his„'staff who "[rade-this new building possible by Working very 'hard together"..(st.aff photo) L') The new Signal -Star offices and plant on Bayfield Road were. officially opened last Friday with a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house. The ribbon was cut by three people who devoted much of their life 'to > the success of the Goderich weekly. They are (left) 'Mrs. Ethel Green who worked in the Signal -Star offices. for many years and under several publishers; (centre) Mrs. George EIIis, wife of The former. owner and publisher;the_late G.L. Mr. Aitken expressed his appreciation for the staff and his happiness at being part of ' the growth of the .Goderich industry. (staff -photo) Mayor Harry Worsell and Councillor Elsa Haydon toured 'the new Signal -Star building last Friday after the grand. ' opening. The two were among many political dignitaries at the opening ceremonies, MP Bob McKinley and MPP Jack Riddell addressed the small gathering on hand to watch that ribbon cutting. (staff -photo)
