organist and the soloist, Mrs.
Betty Wilkin sang We've Only
Just Begun and 0 Perfect Love.
The bride'is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs:, Wilfred Green-
wood, Goderich, and Mr. and
Mrs, Charles Wilson, Goderich,
are the parents. Of the. groom.,
The bride was escorted to the
altar by her father. She wore an
empire -waisted gown . of white.
polyester `satin with a ruffle -
trimmed bodice, Dainty daisy
lace was featured on ,the
neckline, bodice and skirt. The
long cathedral -length veil with
matching dainty lace was;. ac- •
cented by a pear and daisy
laces trimmed Juliet cap. She
carried' a : bouquet of .orange
rosebuds, white carnations,
white baby's breath and lily of
the valley.
Matron 'of honor was Mrs.
Susan Jerry, Goderich. She
chose a, floor -length sleeveless'
orange and white gingham
,check polyester gown. The
neckline featured a stand-up
collar and dainty ruffle trim,of
orange and white 'polka dot. It
had a slightly' gathered skirt
with a ruffle trimmed hemline.
She wore an orange and white
polka dot checked cape with
ruffle trim • and carried a white
wicker basket lied with a white
ribbon and filled with, White
daisies ---arid- orangebaby's
breath. She wore en orange
velvet ribbon -headpiece trim-
med with tiny hells and lily of
the valley.
Gowned identically- to the
matron of honor was the
bridesmaid, Mrs. Sharon
Austin, Lucknow.
Groomsman was Robert
Wilson, brother of the groom
Goderich. Ushers were Brian
Walters, nephew of the groom,
Stratford, 'and Robert Mills
uncle of the bride, Goderich.
The' wedding reception was
^at the White Carnation,
Holmesville. There orange
gladioli and white daisies stood
on either side of . the huge, ,
fireplace. Daisies iii colored
water centred each table.
The bride's mother wore a
.. floor -length mint,green
polyester gown with hite ac-
cessories and a corsage of
orange sweetheart rosebuds.
The groom's mother -selected a
floor -length ivory polyester
gown with an ivory knitted lace
gold trimmed jacket and ivory
accessories Her Corsage was o'f
orange sweetheart .rosebuds,
For travelling, the bride
changed to a light blue fitted
polyester pant suit, brown
leather sandals and purse en-
semble and a corsage of pink
carnations.
The newlyweds are living at
101 Victoria Street North.
Showers were given for the
bride 'by :Mrs. W,ti. Watters,
Goderich; Mrs. Sharon Austin,
Lucknow; Mrs. Susan Jerry,
.Goderich; and Mrs. Wilmer.

Bringing culture to the £ountry
The members of the Goderich
Art Club announced the dates
for Art Trek in Goderich this
summer.
. Art Trek will run from Sun,-
day,August 18 to Wednesday:
August 21 This is the third

London and Miss Maxine of

flew to Pontiac, Mich., Friday
then -drove to Goderich Satur-
day. Mr. "Barrett left for Pon-
tiac again on Monday to attend,
to some business. Phvlis
remained until Thursday,. then
ioined her.husband ,to return to
their home in Tacoma. Wash.

Art Trek brings to this corn-
munity a "'chance to become .in-
volved ,in a variety of .a.rt
media, such as drawing, pain-
ting, batik, tie-dyeing, lino,
wood block, silk screen prin-
ting, macrame and• sculpture. -
Local artists and art en-
thusiasts are welcome, to bring
anything that they are working
on, and to discuss any problems
that they have encounte
ed in
their own chosen art teld.

of North Street and Caledonia,
Crescent. The sesi,ons will run
from Sunday, August .18 to

evening demonstration and
discussion session, tentatively
slated for Wednesday, August

A joint installation of the of-
ficers of Legion Branch 109 and
the Ladies Auxiliary to Branch
109 :was held in the Legion
Green Room on the evening of
Friday, June 14.
The installation team was
composed of officers of Legion
' Zone Cl and consisted of Zone
Commander H. Chambers who
was in charge -of the ceremony

Tufford of Kincardine,
Comrades A. Nicholson and C. ,
Coombs cif .Seaforth, Comrades
W.' Riehl and C. Vincent of
Blyth, Comrade H. Crich of
Brussels, Comrade .G. Low of
the Goderich Branch and Mrs.
Doug Thorndike •of Clinton.
As each group of Legion of-
ficials were., paraded before a
member' of the team for in-
stallation, in office, they were
accompanied by pipe music

Following the installation
Branch 109 President Robert
Chapman in his remarks stated
that in this coming, Legion year
there is much work to -:be done
and he asked for the -con-
tihupus enthusiastic support of
the branch members as in
the past, year, ..
Mr. and Mrs. 'Barney Carney
and . Agnes MacGregor of
Lewiston. New York,. visited'
this weekend with the Simpson
families.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Allan of
Camlachie and Mr and Mrs.

nia spent the weekend at Kin -
tail.
Many from this community
attended -the Ferguson- :- Simp-
son wedding on Saturday in the
Ashfield Presbyterian Church
and the reception which
folkwed in the Lucknow
Legion Hall.
