ded the Clinton Spring Fair on
Saturday and°•e,vervone at the
Home are veru proud of the fact:,
that the Huronview float won
second prize in the parade. A
special thanks to those on the
staff who gave of their time and
talents in preparing it.
Mrs. ' Nellie Welsh, Norman
Speir and Jerry Collins
provided the old tvrne music for
Monday's activities. Two new
residents were welcomed to the
4home, Mrs. Buchanan and Mrs.
McNee.
Theweather was ideal. on
Monday evening for the Spring
Drive sponsored by the Exeter
United Church men. One hun-
dred residents were taken for a
two hour drive through the
country which they all enjoyed
very much.
Students from the Exeter
High School presented a
program, "This Side o
Paradise" in the auditorium on'
Tuesday tift.eitr oon arranged by
Mrs. Pat Quigley. The theme of
the program was taken from
the 20's -with costumes, music
and dances such as the
Charlston related to that era.
Mary Van Camp thanked the
students on behalf of the
Residents.
The Blossom Tea and bake
sale sponsored by the° Huron
view Auxiliary was well atten-
ded on Wednesday afternoon
and wag opened by Rev, Wit -
tick Of Blyth.

of Ontario, will celebrate
Senior Citizens' Week from
'June 16 to 22. The event has
been endorsed by the ministry
.of Community and Social. Ser-
vices as part of the prograrn for
Homes for the Aged. -
The Committee of
Management of Huronview h.as
declared open house for the
week, and invites all senior
Canada Trust 100
set for June 29
The date of June 29 has been
fixed for the start of this year's
Canada Trust 100.
In this, the largest Canadian
Sailboat race on Lake Huron,
there is a record numberof en-
tries. Forty-three yachts -
ranging from twenty-three feet
to forty-three feet in length and
ranging from $5,000 to
$200,000 in value will be ren-
dezvousing at . Grand Bend
from Goderich, Bayfield, and
Sarnia.
The first leg is.in a westerly
direction and this will take the
boats across Lake Huron where
they will turn north easterly
and again cross the Lake to
Goderich. The final leg will be
/south to finish at Grand Bend
n:ftarr° a total of 100 nautical
miles.
The Grand Bend Yacht Club,
the sponsors of the Canada
Trust. 100, have instituted
numerous safety requiremen4s
and in addition, the Canadian

be old tome music and dancing
in the auditorium. Goderich
Senior Citizens' Club will join
with the Huronview residents
in the-activitiesAand will assist
with the music,'
Tuesday afternoon. ..Rev.
George Youmatoff, Rector of
Bayfield and Middleton
Anglican Churches, and for -
merle Padre of C.F.B., Clinton,
will lead a sing -song in the
auditorium,. Rev. Youmatoff is
well-known to most of the
residents of Huronview because
of the great interest he took in
Huronview during the years he
was stationed at the base.
Wednesday, the annual
Huronview picnic will he held
on the grounds,, weather per-
mitting, or in the auditorium, if
the weatherman does -not
cooperate. There will 6e games,
races, etc.. commencing at 2
p.m: •Huron County Museum
will have their display van here
for the day.
'Thursday afternoon there
will be organ music in the
auditorium by Ed.. Stiles'. The
Senior Citizens' Clubs of
Bayfield and Exeter will.,put on
a varieiv program for Family
Night * (Thursday evening, 7
p.m.) These same clubs
provided the Family Night'
program during Senior
Citizens' Week last year and it
