I suppose we, shouldn't realty
complain `about the heat or if
we do, perhaps we should
remember Mav, and by remem•

be thankful for such warm,
sunny weather. Summer, you
realize, is but, a week away and
the weather, one must admit, is
seasonal.
Men's Nite was, held both
Tuesday and Wednesday night
this week, so that most of
the guy's were able to play with
their buddies at least one'nigh't
Sip we the majority of the
fellows are able to make it out
im Tuesday ,night, we have
'decided to hold Men's Nite on
Tuesday.
The winners in the first .flight
on Tuesday evening were.
George Low .J. Gould and Don
Bedour Second flight winners
were: Bill Huff, Stan Telford,
Markline, Tim O'Brien,
Harold Walls, George. Bolton
and Larry Bedour Third flight
winners were: Cliff Kennedy.,,,
John Sturdy, John' Bra4dv, Don
Fuller, Keith 1-juisser, Marcel
, Richard and 'Roy Armstrong.
The most honest golfer was.
Marshall Otto.
On Wednesday night ' a num-
ber of fellows were out but
their numbers were less than
Tuesday night. however, they
managed to enjoy themselves,
one way or another. 'First flight
winners were combined with
second flight winners and_ the
results were: Denis Lassaline,
Sta.n. Connelly and -Doug Spit-
zig. Third flight winners were
Bob Durnin, Rick Fisher. 'Tom'
Flynn, Rav Cook, Alex Varga
'and Noel Flynn.
For somewhat of a new twist
the ladies played a Scotch o
Ball on Thursday evening. The
ladies appeared .to eniov 'the
change.. Winners for the night
were Pat Clifford and Mariette

On Sunday. June 9th we,
hosted the Foresters Tour-
nament here at the Sunset. We
trust that everyone had an en-
joyable day and although for
some, it was perhaps their first
time here or for that matter
their first time golfing, we
would (like to see 'More of you;
remember practice- can aid in
perfection.

Association since 1969 plays its
home opener June 1 at 8:00
p.m. in Agriculture Park
The team, sponsored by the
Goderich Lions Club, will com-
pete in the Southern Division of
the WOAA against six teams
from Shakespeare, Dublin, Mit
shell, St. Paul's: Stratford and-
' Brodhagen

coached by AI Sanders and
managed bar. Dien McWhinney

and "sweet - since mann people
say they hate receiving lines.

Hall. Sunday, •June 16, hun-
dreds will be out to extend best
wishes to a 'wonderful teacher
who is retiring this year.
Mrs. Larry Harrison taught
about. four years in the old
yellow brick school house - now
retired - in Saltford,-then many
many years at Zion . that nice
.school farther nut in the -Town-
ship.
Mrs' Harrison was not just a
great teacher. she sort of adop-
ted each ,and every one of her
pupils so ,that ;hundreds will
remember her with great affec-
tion. Even kids not in her class'
will rern.erriber that she was the
one who made • them some
lunch when they had -forgotten
it and mann other nice things
happened each day which cciuld
-be .credited to this fine person,'
