Falcons win three in Q row
The 'Goderich Falcons made
it three wins in a row on Satur-
day at .the expense of a weak
Exeter side.
After a lot of kick and rush
soccer Ronon .Conlon was on
the spot to put .Goderich one
up. With neither side playing
constructive soccer, it was just
before half time that Gordon
Budnv made it 2-0 for the
Falcons. A penalty shot taken
by Rick Stoddart made-up' the
goal tally. Eric Mitchell, the
Falcon goalie, made some fine
saves in the second half.
The boys of the Falcons air
well as all the G.M.S.A. would
like to wish , Ian Austin a
speedy recovery. Ian who plays
for the Falcons is in the
hospital at the moment. Get
well soon Ian; they need you.
Two early- goals Eby` 'Mike
Hodges playing for the
Goderich Celtics were not
enough to bring home both
points. Exeter carne back to tie
the score with two good goals.
It was the Celtics *who had
most of the play but could not
add lt(' Mike',s goals.
The Goderich Beavers
playing in Clinton against the
Mosquito A team came away
with their first win of the
season 5-2 with goals from Ken
Reid 3 Steven Graham 1 and„
Larry Kelly 1 -
The Goderich Hearts also
won their first game, handing
out a 5.0' defeat to the Seaforth
Kickers, Goals came from

the only team to lose their
'game on the weekend. Playing
well below their form they have
already shown this year, the
two goals -by Jim Mathers were'
not enough and they went -
down to the Clinton Sharks 3.2.
Jeff Denomme failed to tie the
game when he missed a penalty
shot late in the game.
The Goderich Squirts cannot
be put down. Playing the strong
Seaforth Knights, they came up
with a 2-2 tie on goals from
Todd Graham 1 and Tommy
Petrie. These youngsters 'are
still undefeated
