MR. AND MRS. LARRY SMUK
Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's
Witnesses, Goderich, was the
scene May 10 for the double-

yellow sweetheart roses
decorated the Hall for the wed-

mier, Kitchener.

Nostalgic, modern treasures
unified by wall of accessories
Many newly married cou-
ple';, today, wiAh to bring
into their.new homes treas-
ured possessions symbolic
of the past.
It isn't, only widows or
divorcees who are reluctant
to dispose of things they
love but , the well-estab-
lished bachelor and widow-
er as well. Starting a new
home all over again means
putting it all together, and
that can be a joy.
Even if she opts for tra-
ditional and his bent is
modern, the two styles can
be harmoniously mated. For
instance, one youhg woman
prized her French sofa and
wouldn't dream of parting
with her carved Tyndale
candlestick lamp, while he
spent years seeking that -
perfect chrome framed
glass -top coffee table. Fur-
nishing from'scratch would
have been far too dear, in
both senses. The solution
was ideal, they combined
their tastes.
Now, her traditional de-
signs show off well with his
.modern table placed proud-
ly in front. And to unify it,
new modestly priced Syroco
wall accessories were chosen
in both contemporary and
traditional designs. • "
The Syroco art reproduc-
tions of old masters, the up -
to -the minute serigraphs,
sconces, and a carved
bracket and ivy filled plant-
er were artistically grouped
on their handsome panelled
wall.
bThe 'overall effect is
uniquely theirs, a perfect
complement to the entire
room and to their new life
