passed away suddenly on

entitled, "What are Little Girls
Made of", vs. "W'hat are Little
Boys Made of".

Reed led a sire song and a

Gracefully'', was read by Rubv
,McClenaghan and enjoyed by
everyone.

Women's Missionary Society

Roll call, naming a favorite

it, was answered by eleven,
members and two visitors.
• Mrs. Jack MacKenzie had a
contest about plants, flowers
and- spices froin the Bible.
Mrs. Ewan MacLean gave
• the offeratory prayer. Mrs.
MacLean- gave "Truth About
Mothers" taken from Glad
Tidings.
Mr. Sand, local student
minister was present and con-
ducted a Bible study, dividing -
the ladies into two groups. A,
discussion followed.
Mrs. Jim West conducted the
business part of the meeting.
Mrs. MacLean had the closing
prayer.

The Victoria Day Teners for
the eight Industria Softlmtl
teams set the standings after
" the first week of league ball.
DRMCO, Fisher Building,
andy's Clippers and. Gord's
Sports all earned wins in their
first games to force -a four-way
tie for first in league standings.
Sandy's Clippers have strong
,...,pitching and hiding and have
utilized these assets to remain
undefeated -after three games.
They now"hold first place with
DRMCO hot on their heels.
The Good Roads team also
looks strong_and has won their
only two games leaving them in
second spot tied with Gord's
but holding a game in hand on
Sandy's.
Gord's Sports cauldn't,
sustain as rally in the bottom of
the seventh against' Kendall,
and. r'emain one game behind
Sandy's Clippers.
Despite several costly errors
Fisher Building mounted an
impressive drive in the s.eventh
inning but fell short of Little
'Bowl's 10 run effort dropping
the game to the bowlers to
remain,,tied with ,them in third
