An abortion takes the life of
the developing human being. It
directly kills this new being. It
is a surgical , procedure per
formed on two healthy. patients.
The mother lives, her fetus
dies. Verbal gymnastics don't
prevent the baby from being
killed.
Last year, at least forty
thousand healthy human
beings in Canada , lost their
lives for social and economic
reasons. That is reason enough
.for us to be primarily concer-
ned with preserving these lives.

more. Figures d'at a Toronto
hospital indicate 5,1% repeat
abortions in 1972, 11.4% in

Population control is
becoming less of a problem.
Canada has reached zero,
population growth, the United
States will soon. The' United
Nations reyently announced
that the world population
growth rate is declining so
rapidly that we will soon be at
world zero population growth.
Even if this were, not 50, is
killing healthy human beings"
justified? ••
We are concerned, with
abortion on demand, the killing
of healthy human beings for
convenience We are concerned
for the forty thousand killed
last year in Canada. Family
planning should offer a choice
to adults, to conceive or not to
conceive. Abortion offers no
choice to our children
