hockey coach at St. Lawrence
University, Canton, New York,
and director ,of Appleton
-Arena, will spend three weeks
in Moscow.,_Russia, to attend a
physical education and sports
seminar sponsored by the
governments of ' Cana,a and
the U.S.S.R. The special course
schedule will run from' May 26
through June 15.
'Mr. Wilkinson will attend
the seminar through the
graduate program at Loyola
College in Montreal. The
three-week session will provide
a rare Opportunity for coaches
to study the Russian'system of
hockey. There will be lectures.,
discussion periods and,; prac-
tical on and pff--the-ice sessions
which will' stress the Soviets'
scientific approach to the game,
training 'methods and drills.
-.Mr. Wilkinson, a 1970 St.
Lawrence graduate, was cap-
tain of the 1969-70 Skating
Saints hockey team. He led the
SLU scoring7 charts in his
sophomore year and ranks
among the top 10,;,$, t. Lawrence
scorers in career assists with
66.
The Goderich native and his
wife. Mary have one son, Peter.
