Today the sun 'is shining and the temperature is rising, tiny violets are peeking .thru'. the grass and the grass is greening thru' last fall's cut- tings. After the high winds and torrential rains which accom— panied the Dublin Hurricane,' we are all anxious.to begin the Spring chores -- or ANYTHING -- as long as the sun will shine. The Lake, is clear of ice, I gather that there was not too much since Goderich had such 'a mild winter, so it is niee to see 'the Lakers corning In add FESTIVAL '74 IS COMING going out once again. Every Spring I mention the violets, since everywhere that sod that has been settled for a few years you will find, othese wee flowers underfoot, This is one of the first things that sold me on Goderich 'and I've been bragging about -it ever since. The Crocus'are out "in their marfi colors and the 'tiny Snowdrops are blooming like crazy. ' There is no great flooding of the Maitland, in our area, as it struggles .,to enter the- Lake Huron. I hear the delta has built up again to a serious' 'height •and .• some are just hoping it will "go way" without , any trouble. I well recall the first spring we were here when the ice took great chunks out of the pier because of the buildup at THAT time. THE SEPARATE S' Main Corner -. Clinton . While talking to Tony it was suggested that because "Paren- V' ting" was such .:an important subject -and so few of us have any training on how to become a parent, a series of discussions could be planned when both mother and' father- could at- tend.
