The Ministry of Education
has rnore,than tripled the num-
ber -of short •courser; it will Offer
teachers this summer.
- The. Ministry plans 20 short
summer courses for .'.teachers
compared to six seminars- and
.,.workshops- last .year. The cour-
ses lasting 'for One - or • -two
weeks, will also he held in. more
areas, making it easier for
-,teachers to attend.
Seminars and workshops on
a wide variety of,: subjects are
scheduled for Brantford,
' Brockville, Ottawa,. Sudbury,
Waterloo,'• Peterborouh,
Kingston, and Toronto.

wide range of the traditional

of man visitors at Victoria
L.O.L.182 lat3t Friday evening,
said Orangemen throughout
Ontario West `,`are looking• for -

to Grand Lodge 'in Goderich
next month for a first time'•in
many years; you have an at-
tractive town and good accom-
modation."
Mr. Savage is deputy grand
secretary of the Grand Orange.
Lodge of Ontario West, which
with the Grand Black Chapter
will hold sessions here, April
24-27, preceded by ,a service in
Victoria Street United church
on Tuesday evening, April 23.
The Goderich lodge met on
Friday to confer' • the 'Royal
'Arch ; degree upon , two
candidates. The degree work
°was performed by visiting
grand lodge and county officers
entirely from memory.
Tom Deeves, of Clinton, took
the master's chair, and with
'him on the platform were Mr.
Savage; Ron Cartinale, master
of Thamesford lodge, ands Ar-
thur Lee, Woodskpck. Along
with Mr. Deees; the ,degree,.
team for the occasion included
Lloyd. Hern, of Exeter, past
grand master of Ontario West;
Fred MeClymont, Varna;'' Pat
Dickey, Ron Denham, Verne
Blacker and Harold Davidson,
all of Woodham.
