Conservancy
The February meeting of,the
Huron County Branch of the
Architectural Conservancy of
Ontario owas was held recently in,
the board room of Victoria ,arid
Grey Trust Co,, Qoderich.
President Mrs, Joan' Van Den
Broeck, presided.
• She opened the meeting with
the announcement that the
Historic Sites and Monuments
,Board of Canada have
tip;
to list c ou
proved the designation of the
former Huron County Jail as
being of national architectural
significance ' for com-
memoration by the erection of a
plaque.
Mrs. Elsa Haydon reported
that the proposal of the Branch
Concerning the adm,inistiiation
of the Jail by a hoard which
was' submitted in October has
•been approved in principle, by
the Town of Goderch and is
now -under consideration by the
property Committee of County
Council.
The president proposed that
in future alloys letter be sent
to each member before each
meeting. This was apprroved
And a committee composed of
the secretary, Syd Lawson and
K. Tarsen was -;Put in charge of
this.

discussion of the aims and ob-
jectives of the Huron. County
Branch. One of these is to

IN QUALITY AT A & P WEO
broaden the scope of the
Branch both in areas of intereat
and in membership.
It was moved by Nick Hill,
seconded. by Mrs. Wallace that
the BranchAbegin, to list the,
buildings of- importance
historically and architectur$lly

that part of each meeting' be
turned into a workshop for the
