Ronald Love read the minutes
of the February meeting. Two
thank ybii letters were also
heard.-

that material for infant
clothing, layettes and knitted
articles was available: Scarves
are to be knitted for Indian
children of the group's adopted
school on Christian Island. The
wool was distributed at the
close of the meeting by.,Mrs. M.
Rayner. The latter read a. few
observations on , native people
from material received by her
niece; a teacher under the
Federal Department of Native
Affairs:

Education. Secretary, reported
that the Chapter's bursary hili
, been , awarded to Miss Mary
Ann, Tevlin, "a student nurse
from Goderich studying in
r Stratford. Mrs. J. McKenzie
had presented the chapter
award to Jason Ainslie, winner
of the Oral Communications,
Contest. '
Under the aegis. of Mrs. Robt.
McCallum's Citizenship Com-
mittee, Mrs. G. L. Roval,,spoke
briefly dn "Human Rights?'

group rights were cited.
Reference was made to the
Canadian Bill of Human
Rights adopted in 1960. Mrs.
Garrow condensed the
steps set .forth by which an im-
migranf becomes a Canadian
citizen .with all attendant
privileges,

During the evening, Mr.
Brown of Brown's Decor ° Cen-
trae was introduced by Mrs. G.
l .ittinger. ' Mr. Brown spoke
knowledgeably on color and
texture in -interior decorating.
Beautiful carpet and wall
paper samples added :.greatly to
his .. informative talk. Color
value, cleaning practices and
wearing properties were
• discussed in a question period.
Mrs. I. Papernick thanked Mr.
Brown on the ladies' behalf for
his most interesting, con-
tribution to the' meeting,
Mrs, Hobbs thanked. the
hostess, Mrs. Mopney, for her
hospitality. The meeting was
concluded after which .Mrs. J.
Coates poured" tea and coffee
for refreshments served by Mrs.
Wm. 'McKellar and her con-
, mittee.

Spring is 'in the air and 'the
curling is slowly but surely
coming to an end for this year.
In about three weeks' time we
can all store our curling gear
and some of us will start to
polish our golf. clubs.
Before we. go any further•
with this thought, let's see
vwhat'lias been happening with
our curlers. On Saturday,
March 2, the Farmer's Bon -
spiel. took place at Maitland.
`This event was .sponsored' by
Shur-GainMills , in co-
operation, with Hodges Milling
Co. Ltd:- -of- -Dtrirga'mrorr ' and
T.B. Allen Ltd. of Londesboro.
It was, a most successful
'spiel and the winner of the
first draw was Cam Bogie of
Goderich. Winner of the'second
draw was Robert' Johnston of
Ripley. Our congratulationsto
all the winners.
The Foresters'have been very
busy also. On Saturday, March
9, threejnen'sand,,three ladies
rinks' travelled topOs1}awa ^for
the Southern Ontario goresters
• curling play-off.

men's division. ,Tile big winner
of the day was Ron Klages with

take this event.

place. Eileen Bowman and Lois
