The other night we got a
phone call- from one ,of our
children • living 1200 miles'
away. After we'd. exchanged
the usual 'how are yiie, what
are you doing? and .how's the
weather? we asked. "Are you
"calling for any special reason?"
Silence at the other end.
"Are you homesick? we
inquired further. "Yeah, a, lit-

• faltering reply. •
Hornesick! Have vuu ever
been homesick? I have. When
I was about 12 -my family left
