He resided here until >;. moving to Huronview' in 1972 He farmed in Goderich Town- ship until 1938 and worked as a carpenter, from then, until his retirement. EDNA LAURA MCDONALD Edna °Laura McDonald,' for- merly of RR 4 Clinton, died Sunday, January 20 at Huron - view. She was in her °86th year. She 'was predeceased by her husband, the 'at' Frank McDpnald. ° Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Wilfred (Edna) Denomme, Goderich; two sons, Gordon of RR 4 Clinton and Fred of Clin- ton; 10 grandchildren and five great 'grandchildren; and two brothers, Alfred and Fred Hudie of Clinton. She—Was predeceased by one brother, Tom Hudie. Funeral service was at Beat- tie Funeral Home where the committal service was also herd.Rev: G,L 'Royal of Goderich officiated. Interment was in, Clinton Cemetery. K.D. YOUNG Kenneth Donald .Young, 24 Clarence Street, Port Colborne,' died suddenly at this residen •January 16. He was 53. .I-16, 'was born in Goderich May 23,' 1920, the .son of James and Mary .Young., He lived in.Gwierich until joining the navy in 1940 He was discharged in August. of 1945 after serving for almost four years on one ship, HMCS Kam; sack, commissioning ''and decommissioning k,her. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Jack (Iva). ARTLETT Mrs. Martha Hannah Barr- tlett, .a resident of 13u.r, enview, formerly of Goderich, died . at the Home January 19 following a brief Illness. , She was' 85. She was "born September 1, 18.88 in Tottenham, England to John and Martha (Smart) Hildrow. She came to Comber, near Windsor, in 1912. She moved to Windsor 10 years. laterand to Goderich in 1953. She moved to Huronview only one year 'ago. She was married' March 5, 1906 in England to Alfred Bartlett who died June 1958. She was an adherent of St. , George's Anglican Chu-rch. She is survived - by one • daughter, Mrs. Walter (Mar- tha) Rathbun), Goderich;' • seven grandchildren, 24 great- grandchildren and six great - great -grandchildren; and one sister and twO brothers living in England: She was predeceased by two daughters.
