a happy holiday. We thank you warmly.
.Christmas is the time of the
year when we pause to think of
others and to make or rekindle
friendships. Not too many
people think when they go to
Christmas Eve parties and
spoil the holiday season for
them and their families by in'
temperance that Santa Claus is
the love and spirit of giving at
Christmas. He is not a Santa
Claus dressed up in a nylon
beard and flannel suit in every
mall in a town or city. Very few
on their Christmas shopping
spree know that Christmas.
originated from St. Nick in the
Netherlands. Christmas should
be green representing hope, in-
stead of an array .uf colours to
match the colourful carols of
the season. Even though some
are young or some are old we
should still believe in Santa
Claus. It would be a good
Christmas, when more people
find Peace on Earth, Goodwill
towards Men.

Peace on Earth
Goodwill to all Men
.,C•hristrmas is a time of hap-
piness, giving and being' thank-
ful. Christmas is a time of
sharing and thinking of others.
At Christmas time' nobody
wants to quarrel. It is a time of
peace and contentment in the
hearts of all. As people meet in
the streets a cheery "Merry
Christmas" or a friendly
"Hello" is said to passersby.
Children go from home to home
singing the story of Christ's
birth. There is a feeling of love
and peace in the air. Everyone
is excited and waiting im-
patiently for Christmas Dav to
arrive. On Christmas Eve the
feeling of Christmas is high in
our hearts. Grandma is in her
cozy place remembering her
past Christmases, the 'lonely
lady from next door and little
Johnny carry on a cheerful con-
versation while th( others sing
and dance; but the main attrac-
tion is the manger setting. The
Christmas tree is glistening and
sparkling and the star is
especially beautiful.. There is
peace on earth goodwill to all
men. Let us carry this feeling
on throughout the year.
