Christmas used to be happier
Peace On Earth
Good Will Toward Men
Christmas, once long ago,
was a time of merriment, a
time where people had fun and
made fun for others also. It was
a time where all the family,
and some relatives would all
come together and enjoy being
with one another. Everyone
looked forward to Christmas
with fun and happiness which
thea' would be willing to share
with others. To many it was
feasting, dancing and merry
making, all done in an old-
fashioned welcoming way.
But, today. to some, Christ-
mas is .a time of sadness,
sorrow and sympathy. Some
homes break up due to too
much merry -making.
Sometimes' drink mixed with
snow, ire and carelessness
4auses several accidents during
this holiday season.
If you believe,. in Santa Claus,
at least as a spirit, you should
always be able to find some
happiness in Christmas and he
able to understand its true
meaning.
Jesus was ,horn on this day.'

Will to AH Men
C is for Christmas. Not only
a time to give and receive gifts
but also for the feeling or the
spirit of the .season. What
would our Christmases be like
if we placed our gifts around
the television stand, or found
the cake and milk still sitting
untouched, by the hearth, or
saw only silver aluminum
Christmas trees standing in the
midst of a pool of presents?
C is also for Christ the.Lord,
the one. to whom this festive
season is dedicated. We remem-
ber that Joseph could not find
a place for Mary to give birth
to the,iSavior, so they went toa
stable and the babe was born in
a manger and the Wise Men
and Shepherds came to behold
him in the manger.
Do you really have Peace on
earth, goodwill to men, or is -it
just a popular expression to
signify the festive season? -

Peace on Earth
Good Will to all Men
Christmas comes but once a
year,
Bringing with it children's
cheer,
For gifts and toys and Christ-
mas trees,
And snowflakes brought on icy
breeze,
And family gatherings of love
and joy,
And each man, woman, girl
and boy,
But give some thought this
Christmas season;-
To why it comes that special
reason,
For long ago one blessed morn,
A very special child wa's barn,
VVral)ped in swaddling clothes
h_ e lav,
In a manger filled with hay.
Wisemen travelled„from afar,
Guided by the shining star,
While angels bade the
shepherds go,
And see the holy child also,
And when they came upon the
child,
They found' his mother by his
side.
And there he lay in peace and
love,
While angels watched him from
above.
So think not just of gift and tin•,
But of that very special job•,
That should, create a peaceful
.hind
For everyone, for all mankind.

If I were Santa Claus I would
tell my elfs to make diffrnt toys
and I would read all the let-
ters. When the elfs were
finished I would put a card on
the toy that the child wanted.
On the card I would put the
child's name. Then when
Christmas night camel loaded
all the toys on the sled and I
said Rodalf, pracer, Vickson
and so on and I'd be on my
happy jerny.
