Acce.pt. thete gifts
Wr
I wish that I could give each of you a Christmas gift this
year, but thatw4h is too fanciful. It would be impossible to
buy so' many giis for so many people; We could, however,
imagine that we are together on Christmas morning. and
perhaps share Christmas in our mind's, eye. Let's try.
The tree is beautiful. Its so tall and straight and its
boughs reach out to greet us. The star at the top reminds us
of Bethlehem's star while the manger scene at the base tran-
sports us to the stable once again. Beautifully wrapped par-
cels make us mindful, however, that this is Christmas 1973.
Please open your gifts. Open tFat one to the left of the wise
men and oxen. That's it, the blue parcel with the white rib-
bon. It contains the gold of, faith. I hope you will use it.
