The "green freight shed" on
the main beach is no more.
Councillor Hill Clifford infor-
med council last Thursday that
.the work would again resume
in the demolition of the
building'_ on the beach the
.following morning. The work
was originally to be done before
the end of October but an ac-
cident prevented Bruce Betties
from completing the job until
now.
With the removal of the old
building over, Councillor Clif-
ford suggested plans for the
new pavillion. Ne presented the
council members with a post-
card of a pavillidn,at Sauble
Falls Provincial Park, which he
suggested could be used as a
model for the future Goderich
building.

built on a cement slab, with an
asphalt roof, beamed ceilings
and a half wall covered with
either brick or Heida siding,
which is used on provincial
park washroom buildings. Pic-
nic tables and brick barbecues
will be located inside.
The Council already has the
blueprints for the Sauble Falls
pavillion' from the Ministry of
Natural Resources.
Arrangements were made
through the co-operation of
Huron MPP Jack Riddell.
Thi proposed structure will
,cost' approximately $25,000.
Councillor Clifford hopes
that the new pavillion will be
used by both individual and
group parties. Provisions will
also be made for future ad-
ditions such as a new refresh-
ment booth.
