KINSMEN
MIDGET ALL-STARS
Travelling to Hensall, Thur-
sday, December 13th, the Kin-
smen Midgets trounced Hensall
by a score of 8-5. Goderich
played a very poor defensive
game as they just weren't hit-
ting and checking. Hensall had
only 9 players and on several
occasions made the Goderich
defense look very bad on
several goals. Leading the at-
tack for Goderich was ,Grant
Shelton with 5 goals, top scorer
in the Midget W.O.A.A.
division. Rick Moody opened
the scoring and Allan Worgan
got the second goal to give
Goderich a 2-1 lead. Hensall
soon tied the game, but before
the end of the second period,
Grant .Shelton scored 3 quick
goals, Hensall getting their
third one off the stick of a
Goderich defenseman. John
Hanly got Goder tiles other
goal, and picking up assists in
the game were Doug Marshall
with 3, Lee Arbour 2, Allan
Worgan and Steve Davey one
assist each..,
Return ,game Sunday after-
noon in Goderich the Kinsmen
Midgets defeated Hensall 4-2.
Going into the game with' only
three regular defencemen as Al
Worgan is out of action with a
severely cut leg which requited
nine stitches. Early in the first
perigd Jerry` O'Brien was sent
to the dressing room for
fighting, this left the team with
only two regular defencemen,
Mike Andrews and Mike.Cum-
mings. Doug Marshall opened
the scoring from Grant Shelton.
Hensall tied the game before
the end of the first period. Scott
Kennedy made it -2-1 as John
Hanly and Rick Moody drew
assists. Lee Arbour made it 3-1
as Doug Marshall playing one
of his best games of the year set
him up. Hensall got their
second .goal from their power
play just before the end of the
second period. Grant Shelton
picked up his own rebound to
score the only goal in the final
period and Pete Kelly playing
thy full game in the nets came
up with several key saves to
help his team hold on to a 4-2
victory. s,

One day good 'Mrs. Santa
Claus, who keeps house With
great care,
Unfolded Santa's winter suit
and hung it: -out to air.
Then with her needle and her
thread she sewed each button
tight,
"Now try it on, please Santa
dear; we'll see if it looks
right,"
So Santa, in his stocking feet,.
pulled on the red' pants first,
But when he tried to fasten
them, -pop, ,pop!• the buttons
- burst! -
Then Mrs. Santa handed him
the red coat trimmed with
white—
It wouldn't meet across his
chest. Alas, it vas too tight.

The big black belt just went
around, but 'twas a dreadful
squeeze.
Said Santa, "What would hap-
pen if I ever had' to sneeze?"
"0 Dear," 'said Mrs. Santa
Claus, , "Whatever shall we
do?"
"Twill soon be Christmas, I've
no time to make you something
new." '
"You'll have to diet, Santa,
You're getting much too fat -
No more ice cream and candy,
make up your mind to that!
If that suit is to fit you well you
must `take Off -ten pounds, -
You reaUy shouldn't eat so
much when making Christmas
rounds,"
She told the busy little elves
who make the Christri'as candy
They must not leave the
smallest bit which Santa might
find handy.
She hasn't baked' a `single cake,
nor trade a'singlepie,-
And Santa has been living on
clear tea with cheese on rye!
So Santa has been dieting, he's
really getting thinner,
No doubt, he'll very much en-
joy, a hearty Christmas dinner.
But don't be worried little
friends, if you do 'what is right
We'll call on you on Christmas
ve e'en though his suit is
tight. „
His eyes will shine like candles
bright, his laugh will still be
merry,
"His snowy, beard will be as
white, his nose just like a
• cherry;
And if the treats you leave for
him are gone, just keep it quiet!
Some day you'll know as Santa
does, how hard it is to. diet.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
