Brenda Joyce Hamilton and Dennis Calvin Bricker. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. Gerald Hamilton of Goderich and the groom is the son of Mr. and `Mrs. Dociglas C. Bricker of Goderich. The double -ring ceremony was conducted by Rev. L. Royal. Organist for the wed- ding was William Cameron. Given ,an marriage by her father. the bride chose a gown with a white chiffon bodice. The skirt and long sleeves were 'made of sweetheart lace and the floor -length scalloped veil was trimmed with lace. She carried a trailing bouquet of red rosebuds and pink and white baby carnations. The maid of honor was Deb- w..w.-n.d...w.r bie Hamilton of Goderich; sister of the bride. ROBERT SON ROUNDUP On Tuesday morning grade ones got on a school bus and rode downtown to Breckenridge Hardware to see 1the toys in Toyland We were happy to have four rnoithers go alone: too - Mrs. Baechler, .R1rs' Little, Mrs. McCaul and Mr4. Shanahan. We were divided into five groups so that we eould learn about different kinds of toes 'Then, Mr. Breckenridge started his elec-, trical train and we watched the engines pulling cars on the tracks, through the tunnels and all around the village. VVhen it was time to go, we took turns riding down in the elevator. That was fun too'' Mr's. Cook's Grade 3 were very busy these days preparing for our Christmas concert. It's fun working with grade two as we are going together 00 our concert this year. ‘V'e've just finished our stained glass windi►ws in art. They look so nice on our win- dows. This week we are writing let- ters to Santa and maybe you'll see them in the newspaper soon. All classes in the junior hall are busy practising for the Christmas assembly which will be held for parents and 'friends on Wednesday December 19 at 2:00 in the school auditorium. The Hobby and Craft Club meet at 4:00 every Monday. The members are still working on their "creative stitcherv'' and hopefully they will he finished before the Christmas . holidays. At Robertson the Christmas scene is in -Tull swing. Rooms are being •decorated with wreaths and winter scenes for the Christmas mood. Everyone is panxiotcgly waiting for the Christmas holidays and Sata. The Robertson School had the 'GDCI band present a con- cert for us on Monday morning. The band was really good. Goderich can be proud of them. .The teachers are giving the students of ' Robertson the- -pleasure of seeing Blaekbeard's Ghost this year as their gift to the students. In sports the Allstar volleyball is being picked from some of the, best players of Robertson to compete with other schools. The teachers of Victoria School invited the staff of Robertson School to play a game of volleyball on Monday night. All of the bride's attendants wore dresses of baby blue jersey with short cape sleeves. A, darker blue ribbon tied around the bodice and trailed to the floor-.. Each carried a basket of daisies, carnations and baby's breath. Groomsman was Donald Bricker.of Goderich, brother: of the groom. Ushers were Paul Hamilton, brother of the bride and Paul Bricker, brother of the groom, both of Goderich. The Saltford'Valley Hall was decorated in blue and white flowers for the weddir f ecep- tion. There. the bride's mother received the guests Wearing a hot pink "polyester crepe floor - length gown with an empire waistline and long sleeves. She wore a corsage of white rosebuds and silver accessories. The groom's mother 'wore a poppy red chiffon floor length halter dress with a cape. She also wore silver. accessories and a corsage of white baby mums. For the wedding trip to Eastern Ontario the -'\bride wore a navy and green palazzo suit with Flue accessories and a white rosebud -corsage. Previous. to the wedding the .bride was honored at three showers given by Penny Bricker, Mrs. Donelda Mac- donald and Betty Hamilton, and Colleen Straughan and Debbie Langridge. The couple now reside in Goderich. People 0 Helping People v Donate to Guides' Ahmeek enjoy Christmas lunch The Ahmeek Chapter of the LODE held their December` meeting in the form of a ,Christ- mas Luncheon. at the Maitland Golf and Country Club --on December 6. Door prizes were won by Mrs. V. Crooke and by Mrs. J, McKeown The members were "pleased to have their honorary members as guests. After the delicious meal, "a. short, informal meeting was held with the regent,, Mrs. R. Neville, presiding. In the ab- sence of the secretary, Mrs. F. Mills, Mrs. G. Henderson took the minutes. Mrs. Henderson also gave her treasurer's report, showing a very suc- cessful sear. A donation.was voted toward the Girl Guides, by the Chap- ter. Mrs. J. McKeown. took her, affirmation as a new member. It was decided t? .:open meetings in the future at 2 p.m. instead of :at 2.3.0 p.m. Miss Beatrice Campbell then showed slides of her trip around the world, concen- -'1rating on the Fiji Islandki.New Zealand, Australia, and` the Hawaiian Islands, giving a delightful commentary on each. Mrs. G. Dustow expressed the thanks of all pr6sent in a charming little speech. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Ben Chisholm, 20 Albert Street, the second Monday in January.
