Colborne Township
Recreation Committee held a
very successful card party in
the Carlow Hall Wednesday
<v'ening, December 5. Over fifty
men and women welcomed an
evening of entertainment.
Winners in 500 were: ladies,
Mrs. Geo. Robinson and
Noreen Brindley; gents, Reg.
Riehl and Terence Hunter; in
euchre, ladies, Mrs. Rod. Bogie
d Mrs. James Feagan; gents,
ames Horton and -Kevin Cun-
ningham.

Preparations for Christmas
was the main topic at the
December meeting of the
Goderich Township Women's
Institute held in Holmesville
Public School auditorium.
Catherine and Janice Orr
demonstrated the art of candle -
making and Mrs. °Don Harris
showed how she makes.Christ-
mas centrepieces. Mrs. Bert
McCrea showed °how to make
Christmas decorations.
A sing -song of Christmas
carols was held with Mrs.
William Cox• playing piano and
singing sola. Mrs. Argyle
Loch art, resolutions convener,

was answered by 19 members.
