THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWNSHIP OF EAST WAWANOSH
BY-LAW N0. 7, 1973
BEING A BY-LAW TO REGULATE THE ERECTION, OR AD-
DITION TO ANX BUILDINGS . IN THE TOWNSHIP OF EAST
WAWANOSH.
WHEREAS the Council of the Township of East Wawanosh
deems it desirable to control more closely the erection and
location of various types of construction
AND WHEREAS the most effective method of implementing
this procedure is by issuance of permits upon application, and
imposing a penalty upon failure to apply:
AND WHEREAS by an Act to amend the Planning Act 1955,
Section 27 (b) and other acts the Corporation is given the
power to regulate the erection of buildings within the limits of
the Municipality and it is desirable that the said powers be
exercised.
THEREFORE the Corporation of the Township of East Wawan-
osh by its Council duly constituted enacts as follows:
1. .Application must be made to the Council of the Township
of East Wawanosh for permiulon to erect, or add, an addition
to any building or construction of any kind within the Township:
2. The applicant must have permission from the Council of
the Township of East Wawanosh before any construction may
be commenced, and the following si'iecifications as laid down
by the said Council must be adhered to:
(a) Square footage must exceed 1,000 square feet per
dwelling.
(b) Approve Huron°County Health Unit re Septic Tank
System must first be obtained before issuing building permit.
(c) No building shall be erected that any part of said building
shall extend closer to centre line of road than 100 feet.
(d) No person shall erect any livestock building without con-
tacting the Ministry of Agriculture and Fatod, in accordance
with "The Suggested Code of Practice".
3. At the time of application for any permit required under #
this by-law the applicant shall pay to the Township Clerk the
following sums:
For work costing One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) or part
thereof, the sum of $3.00 and an additional .50c for each ad-
ditional One Thousand Dollars (51,000.00) or part thereof, with
a maximum sum of 510.00.
4. Any construction done without a permit mat be
demolished at the owner's expense if so ordered by the Coun-
cil
5. Failure to comply with the foregoing regulations con-
stitutes,an offence and on summary conviction a fine of not
more than 5100.00 may be imposed for violation of Secs. 1 & 2,
and a penalty of $10.00 per day from date notice is sent to
remove the construction t5 the date of removal under Section
4.
6. This By -Law to become effective on date of passing.

immigration.
In Huron, the largest grant
-- $12,480 — goes to Clinton
and District Christian School
Society of the Dutch Reform
Church to add two classrooms,
storagerooms and washrooms
to its Clinton school. The
-school serves children in the
Clinton, Goderich, Exeter,
Seaforth and Blyth areas.
The Tuckersmith Municipal
Telephone System, which ser-
ves 1,500 subscribers, receives
$10,640 to hook subscribers to
underground cable and reduce
the number of connections on
multip-party lines.
The Ausable-Bayfield Con-
servation Authority receives --
$7,200 to improve woodlot and
wildlife management at Otte
Parkhill Dam.
Two Goderich senior citizen
projects were given loans: The
Information and Friendship
Centre gets $12,480 to provide
social, recreational and infor-
mation services for senior
citizens; Helping Hands'
receives $7,200 to make minor
repairs to homes of the elderly
and provide winter transpor
talion, snow shovelling, . win-
dow cleaning and other tees-
vices.
