HENRY W. WATKINS
Funeral services were held
on Tuesday" December 4 for
Henry W. (Harry) Watkins at
the Arthur Funeral Home with'
Rev. Stanley MacDonald of
Londesboro in charge.
Born in Hullett Township, he
was 'the son of the late Joseph
Watkins and Rosetta Wright on
May 7, 1917. He passed away
in Clinton Public Hospital after
a couple of months of illnes8.
He had been very active in 4-H
program and entertained many
Junior Farmer groups at his
farm home.
He was a member of Lon-
desboro United Church.
He is survived by his wife,
the former Hazel Hoggart; two
daughters, Mrs. William (Bar-
bara) Holzworth, Palmerston
and Mrs. John (Shirley)
Mallett, Palmerston; one son
Mrs. Wes hillock 521-1515
Robert at home; one grand-
daughter; and one sister, Mrs.
Hazel Draper of Toronto.
Burial took place in Clinton
Cemetery. Pallbearers 'were
Jack Van:1 Egmond, Norman
Wright, Stewart Farquar,
Wayne Kennedy, Elgin Pen -
found and Roes Lovett.
Flowerbearers were Carmen
McGregor and Roy ,McVittie.
WALKERBURN CLUB
The monthly meeting of the
Walkerburn Club was held at
the home of Mrs. Ted Hunking
with Mrs. `Hunking presiding.
The minutes were adopted as
read by the assistant secretary,
Mrs. John Hallam. The finan-
cial statement was given by the
treasurer, Mrs. Thomas Cun-
ningham.
Roll call was answered by
giving donations to the
Children's Aid Society. A
donation was also sent to the
Korean Foster Child.
It. was reported that the af-
ternoon at Hullett Central
School -with Mr. Colin Fingland
of Wingham was a decided suc-
cess. He told the history of the
Walkerburn community.
The program was in charge
of Mrs. Ted Hunking and Mrs The organization is still

CHRISTMAS TURKEY BINGO
The parish hall at
Kingsbridge was packed on
Saturday evening, December 8
for the Annual Christmas
Turkey bingo.
Winners of the ten turkeys
were: Tony Hendricks, Miss
Marianne Miltenburg (Reis),
Mrs. Jack VanOsch, Sr., Harry
VanDiepenbeek, Miss Ann
Marie. _Howard, Brent Colling,
Adrian VanDongen, Mrs.
Margaret Culleton, Miss
Brenda Brown, and John
O'Keefe.
Consolation prizes of $2 each
went to Max Riegling, Dana
Doherty, Jerry Heffernan and
Brother Carl Volt
'Two games of "share the
wealth" were played.' The
proceeds of game number one
were shared between Miss
Sharron Gaudette and Mrs.
Reis Miltenburg; game number
two was shared four ways with
thewinnings split- between
,Bobbie* Blliott, Jessie-Regier,
Dennis Hogan and Mrs. Carl
Riegling, Sr.
Winner of the free bingo was
Bobby Elliott. His prize was $5.
The winner of the door prize
was Miss Christine Martin,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim
Martin. This draw was made
by Miss Marianne Miltenburg.
The proceeds of two special
bingos were given to the first
Kingsbridge Girl Guides to
help with Guide activities. Joe
Austin and Miss Marianne
Miltenburg (Reis) were winners
of panda bears with con-
solation going to Glen
Ferguson.
The Girl Guides were selling
stuffed toys that they made, as
well as cakes, fruit breads,
donuts, orange juice and coffee.
A net profit of $56 was realized
for the Girl Guides.
Miss Betty Hendricks,
speaking on behalf of the first
Kingsbridge Girl Guide Com-
pany thanked everyone for
helping this worthy cause.
Father Ed Dentinger
thanked everyone for coming
and suggested that those who
didn't win' tonight may be the
lucky ones at the bingo to be
held at St. Augustine Parish
Hall on Saturday, December 15
at 8.30 p.m.

7, Reverend Father Ed Den-
tinger, C.R., united in marriage
Donna Wagner, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Wagner of
Lucknow to Paul Hogan, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Bill 'Hogan of
Kingsbridge.
The bride's attendants were
her two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy
Scholtz and Mrs. Sharron
—Austin and the groom's sister,
Mrs. Donna Collinson. The best
man was John Joe Hogan,
brother of the groom.
Ringbearer was little Robert
Collinson. Wayne .agner,
brother of the bride and
Michael—Hogan, cousin -of- the -
groom ushered the guests.

Karla Hogan. The offertory
was taken up by Mr. and Mrs.

Public Hospital after -suffering
a heart attack and is con-
valescing at his home here.

the winter months in London.
His nephew Jerry Vogt drove
him to London on Tuesjlay,
December 4.

Mrs. Gilbert Frayne has
returned to her home here after
spending 10 days in London
visiting with friends Miss

Children have been enjoying
the free skating at the Lucknow
Arena every Saturday after-
noon duri tag the month of
December, compliments of the
Lticknow Business Prices.- This'
coming Saturday Santa will be
making his visit and the
children will be given a bag of
treats, a free Walt Disney show
at the Town Hall as well as the

Mary's Church in Lucknow on
Sunday afternoon, December 9.

C.R. Following the program,
Christmas carols were sung.
Ladies of the Catholic
Women's League handed treats
to the children. Lunch was ser-
ved to the many guests at the
Town Hall, Lucknow.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Martin
and family of Glammis spent
the weekend at the home of her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mark
Dalton.
Mothers were treated to a
short skit in honor of the
Blessed Mother for the Feast of

The girls were tested on hand
