In the first period, Clinton opened the scoring as Roy scored from Trewartha. Then Trewartha made it 2-0, from Roy, Second period was scoreless, and in the third period, Paul Schaefer -"Scored the Police Falcon's only goal as Tim McLean set him up. We were lucky to come out of Mitchell alive. Goderich opened the scoring at the two minute mark as Rick Moody scored unaseisted. Before the end of the first period, Mitchell led 3-2. Final score was Mit- chell 7, Goderich Kinsmen Midgets 3. Scoring the other two goals was Grant Shelton. Wednesday's game against Seaforth; in Seaforth, was can- celled. No details available. Why? Sunday, December 9, Seaforth Was in town for a W.O.A.A. game: The refereeing for the game 'was excellent, Keith Huisser advised, as only 6 penalties were called, in the game: 4 against Goderich, and two for Seaforth. Fihal score was Kinsmen Midgets 5, Seaforth 3. Grant Shelton led the attack with four goals and an assist. Lee Arbour opened the scoring for Goderich and Scott Kennedy made it 2-0 with Rick Moody assisting. Mike Cummings and Lee Arbour each picked up an assist in the game. Next game will be Thursday night in Hensall, and then a return game against Hensall on Sunday, December 16th, star- ting at 4:30p.m. HOCKEY NOTES Why doesn't theRecreation Board or the Arena have an ad in the paper each week, ad- vising the public what is going on in Goderich, such as Hockey Games at the Arena, Figure Skating, and ofher current sporting events? GDCI basketball Listowel's teams take two of three The GDCI boys' basketball teams began, Huron -Perth Con- ference play here on Friday with a triple -header against Listowel. The senior Vikings emerged as the only GDCI winners, defeating._ Listowel 51-39. The junior Vikings lost 40-30, while the GDCI midget team dropped 141.28 decision to Listowel. In the senior game; Jim Watt and Ron Willis had 14 points each for coach Phil Bugler's Vikings. Pat Conlon_ added 10. Mike Wildgen threw in five while brother Casey got four points. Al Bogie, with two points, rounded out the Viking coring. Ron Kaufrian led the s Listowel Lords with 11 points. Coach Bugler's team this year lacks height, but makes up for this with lots of enthusiasm and hustle. Tim Doherty, with six points, also played well defensively. Greg Beacom with four and Ed Courtney with two points were the other GDCI scorers. Mel Williams, with seven points, was Listowel's top scorer.
