BANTAM ALL-STARS
Monday, December 3, in
Zurich, the Police Falcons went
on a scoring spree as Paul
Schaefer, Shannon Niblock,
and lain Lambert each picked
up three goals. Paul Schaefer
also had 5 assists. Shannon
Niblock and lain Lambert got
,one assist. Each. Ed, Courtney
end Steve Chase each got two
goals plus an assist in. the
game. Other point getters were
Tim Doherty, Don Kirkconnell
end Rick Stoddard each with a
goal; Gary Peters, Bill Walters
and Rick Stoddard picked up
assists in the high scoring
game.

night, December 8, Goderich
lost a close one to Clinton, 2-1.
In the first period, Clinton
opened the scoring as Roy
scored from Trewartha. Then
Trewartha made it 2-0, from
Roy, Second period was
scoreless, and in the third
period, Paul Schaefer -"Scored
the Police Falcon's only goal as
Tim McLean set him up.
Goderich Coach and players
no have practices at, 7 a.m.,
and it seems that any players
not getting breakfast before
their practice, or after, can
have bacon and eggs at Bert
Worsen's, as Bert is urevery
morning at 6:30.

ALL-STARS
On Monday, December 3, in
Mitchell, the hockey game
layed was one game coach Bill
Fritzley would like to forget.

The refereeing was something?
? We were lucky to come out of
Mitchell alive. Goderich
opened the scoring at the two
minute mark as Rick Moody
scored unaseisted. Before the
end of the first period, Mitchell
led 3-2. Final score was Mit-
chell 7, Goderich Kinsmen
Midgets 3. Scoring the other
two goals was Grant Shelton.
Wednesday's game against
Seaforth; in Seaforth, was can-
celled. No details available.

Sunday, December 9,
Seaforth Was in town for a
W.O.A.A. game: The refereeing
for the game 'was excellent,
Keith Huisser advised, as only
6 penalties were called, in the
game: 4 against Goderich, and
two for Seaforth. Fihal score
was Kinsmen Midgets 5,
Seaforth 3. Grant Shelton led
the attack with four goals and
an assist. Lee Arbour opened
the scoring for Goderich and
Scott Kennedy made it 2-0 with
Rick Moody assisting. Mike
Cummings and Lee Arbour
each picked up an assist in the
game.
Next game will be Thursday
night in Hensall, and then a
return game against Hensall on
Sunday, December 16th, star-
ting at 4:30p.m.

exhibition game against Police
Falcons Bantam Team and lost

GDCI basketball
Listowel's teams take
two of three
The GDCI boys' basketball
teams began, Huron -Perth Con-
ference play here on Friday
with a triple -header against
Listowel.
The senior Vikings emerged
as the only GDCI winners,
defeating._ Listowel 51-39. The
junior Vikings lost 40-30, while
the GDCI midget team dropped
141.28 decision to Listowel.
In the senior game; Jim Watt
and Ron Willis had 14 points
each for coach Phil Bugler's
Vikings. Pat Conlon_ added 10.
Mike Wildgen threw in five
while brother Casey got four
points. Al Bogie, with two
points, rounded out the Viking
coring. Ron Kaufrian led the

Listowel Lords with 11 points.
Coach Bugler's team this
year lacks height, but makes up
for this with lots of enthusiasm
and hustle. The seniorNikings
have been playing a tough
exhibition schedule, losing so
far to Sarnia St. Clair 58-27,

play this season. Like the
seniors, the junior Vikings are
playing an extensive exhibition
schedule to prepare them for
future league games.
Jim McKinnon played a
strong game both ways for
coach Frank MacDonald's
midgets, getting nine points in
a losing cause. Dennis LeBlanc
added seven. Tim Doherty,
with six points, also played
well defensively. Greg Beacom
with four and Ed Courtney
with two points were the other
GDCI scorers.
Mel Williams, with seven
points, was Listowel's top
scorer.
Coach MacDonald sees his
team as. --tapable of a good
showing in further league play,
and with improved defensive
play foresees an .improvement
on last year's third place finish.
