Goderich Minor Hockey
Association is having a
'Juvenile ',Family') Draw, with
prizes for Mom, Dad and
Junior. Tickets are 25c each, or
five for $1.00, and can be pur-
chased -from any Juvenile
Hockey player, their poach,
Tom Thompson, or Manager
Mike Pope. Proceeds are to
help pay costs for a return trip
to Toronto, which will be
sometime in January. Snoopy is
on display at the Tuck Shop in
the Goderich Memorial Arena.

HOUSE LEAGUE
Monday, December 3, saw
Graham Electric edge Gard -
diner's Dairy 2-1. The' score
-
was tied 1-1 after the first
period. Darrin Moore scored
for Gardiner's with Randy
Gaynor assisting. David Gallow
notched, the first Electric goal,
unassisted. David scored the
second goal, also, with John
Kloss assisting. The goalies,
Joe Melady for Graham Elec-
tric and Jeff Denomme for Gar -
diner's, played strong garnes.
Gardiner's came back on
Friday night, Dec. 7, to defeat
Bedford Hotel 3-1. The score
was 1-1 after the first period,
wi,h Brad Armstrong --scoring
the Gardiner goal from John
Peters; and Todd Rittinger got
the Bedford goal with Danny
Shaddick assisting. John
Thompson put Gardiner's
ahead in the second period
with his first ' goal this season.
John Peters assisted. Paul
Murphy scored an unassisted
goal for Gardiner's in the 3rd.
period. Jeff Denomme played
another strong game in goal. for
Gardiner's.
Saturday morning, December
8, saw Bedford Hotel and
Graham Electric playing in
what turned out to be a real
thriller. Mark Crawford scored
two first period goals, and Jim
Ealters one, as Bedford took a
3-0 lead. Before the period en-
'-ded,` ,Dave Ruxton scored the
first Graham goal from Frazer
Abbott. David Mahood and
Daryl Madge earned assists on
Crawford's goals. In the second
period, Ken Huff scored with
Dave Gallow assisting and then
Dave Gallow scored unassisted
to tie the game. Then late in
the same period, Daryl Madge
'banged in a rebound to put the
Bedford team ahead 4-3. Brent
Fisher assisted. WithraJM ute
left in the 3rd- period, Dave
Gallow tied the score with
Ricky Young assisting.
NOVICE ALL-STARS
On Saturday night, Decem-
ber 8, Goderich downed
Wingham '9-0. David .Gallow
scored three goals and assisted
on another. Brent Fisher scored
2'goals and had an assist. Mark
Crawford had a goal and two
assists. Daryl Madge Ricky
Young • and Darrin Moore
scored the other three. John
Kloss, Darrin Moore and Ricky
Young had assists. The whole
team. was red hot as they
skated, checked and shot well
The highlights of the game
were some passing plays. Mark
Crawford shot a perfect pass to
Brent Fisher in front,of the net,
who as soon as he got it, fired it
home. The other was' another
perfect pass; This time it was
John Kloss who made the pass
to Daryl Madge who also
wasted •no time in putting the
puck in the net. If the boys keep
shooting the puck as fast as
they are, when in front of the
net, they will come up with a
lot of goals.
The teams next outing is
Saturday night in Goderich
against Byron "at 5:45.
ATOM
HOUSE LEAGUE .
December 4, Tuesday, first
game between Kentucky Fried
Chicken and Legion Auxiliary
ended up in a one all tie. Ken-
tucky Chicken opened the -
scoring on a goal by Tommy
Smith, assisted by Mark Car-
men. This 1-0 lead stood up un -
'til the final minute of the third
period of play. Pat Bisset tied
the game as Danny Redpath
drew the assist for the Legion.
Glenmark Homes defeated
Goderich Electric 1-0 on a goal
by Steve Dobie. Greg Marshall
and Stephen Boyce set up the
only goal. In the nets for Glen -
mark Homes was Scott Profit
who picked up the shutout.
Saturdays game Glenmark
Homes whitewashed Legion
Auxiliary 3-0 with David
MacDonald in .the nets and
picked up the shutout. Leading
the attack was Dennis Kerr
with two goals and Steve Dobie
with the other goal. Robert
Willis also had tw,o points as he
assisted both of Kerr's goals
and John Little picked up an
assist'on one of the goals. Greg
Marshall and Stephen Boyce
again were- the pleay makers on
Dobie's goal.
In the second game Friday it
was a close game all the way,
with Kentucky Chicken edging
Goderich Electric 2-1. Ken-
tucky Fried. Chicken goals came
from, .the sticks of Steve Sager
and Tommy Smith who were
assisted by Chris Knox and
Brian Shortreed respectively.'
Point getters for the Goderich;
Electric were Dave. McDonald
with a goal and Del Bedard an
assist on Dave's goal.

ATOM `ALL-STARS
The Suncoast Suns Atom
All -Stars league record stands
at four wins and one loss,
following a split in two games
played last week.
Tuesday ►n Seaforth the Suns
carte up with a coni inci.ng 7-2
victor, over Seatort h.
Seaforth scored the opening'
goal in the first minute of play.
when Mike McLaughlin scored,
but that was all the scoring for
the home team until Jirn Barry
scored on a penalty shot in the
last minute of the game, awar-
ded when a Goderich player
dragged down a Seaforth for-
ward from behind on a
breakaway
In between. the Suns scored
seven times.
Mark Rowe scored twice for
the winners while Larry Kelly,
Alan Bakker, Randy Graham,
Larry Boyce and John Huff ad-
ded • singles
Assists were credited to
Larry Kelly with two, and
Darrell Graham, Randy
Grahaw, Mark Rowe and Alan
Bakker, with -one each.
Playing at home Saturday
night. the Suns were upset 5-1
by a fired up Zurich team.
Robert Willert was the big
gun for Zurich with four goals.
Kris Bedard scored the ofher
Zurich goal.
Larry Kelly scored the only
Goderich goal, with an assist
from Alan Bakker...
Zurich led 2-1 at the end of
the second period addinkthree
third period goals to ensure
their win.
-On Sunday the Suns
travelled t0 London -where they
were edged 6-5 by Huron East
in an exhibition game.
The London team scored
three quick goals early in the
first period before the Suns -got
untracked. From there on, it
was a -see-saw battle that saw
the Suns pull. within one goal of
Huron East in the last minute
of the game. - and with the
pressure on as rhe game ended.
Ian Anderson had two goals
for 'London, as did Nick
Degaust. Neil Hamilton and
Brian Buchanan added the
others.
Five players scored one each

Jim Fritzley, Mark Rowe, Joey
Morrissey and Darrell Graham.
The Suncoast Suns have a
busy weekend corning up..
Friday they will play in
Bayfield. On Saturday coach
Richard Madge's team will
play in Mitchell at 4:15 before
returning home for an
exhibition game with Wingham
at 7.30"
PEE WEE HOUSE LEAGUE
December 3, first game, Club
Grill had an outburst of five
goals and went on to defeat
Goderich Restaurant 5-1. Club
Grill player, Terry Shoemaker,
led the attack with three -goals'
and Larry Gaynor -picked up
the other two goals. Paul
Young and Wesley McLean
drew assists. Getting the Ione
goal for Goderich Restaurant
-was •Ken Reid, unassisted.
Sifto Salt downed (Goderich"
Motors) Lionel's Sunoco 5-3
Steve Walters had a hat trick
and single goals went to Jim
Burbine and Doug Cruikshank.
Danny' Boyce picked up two
assists and played one of his
best games to date.
Friday's game: Sifto Salt
whitewashed Goderich
Restaurant 4-0. Danny
Freest an got his first two- goals
of the season; picking up single
points were Steve Walters and
Geoff King, both with goals,
and Bruce Doherty and Doug
Cruikshank each had an assist
in the game. Mike Reynolds
picked up his second shutout 'of
the season.
Second game, December 7,
ended in_ a `two -all tie as Club
Grill got goals from John Bird
and Doti Coughlan. Wesley
McLean drew„ an --.assist.

The Lions and Stratford Pee
Wees provided a good game of

hockey this past. Saturday
night, with the Goderich Pee
Wees victorious over the
visiting team 2-0.
The Stratford players were
always a threat as they played
a close checking game, intercep-
ting many of the Goderich
teams passes and keeping them
on their toes.
Roger Lewis scored first for
the Lions in the first period
with the assistance of Larry
McGee. The next goal, by
Steven Arbour from a pass by
Larry Daer, didn't come until
early in the third period. All of
the Goderich Lions team
played well.
Next Saturday night the
Goderich Pee Wees play earlier
than usual at 6:30 when they
will meet the Byron Pee Wees
in the Goderich Arena.
BANTAM
HOUSE LEAGUE
The convener and coaches
have decided, that all games up
to the end of this year will be
exhibition. First of the year the
regular schedule will com-
mence and it is hoped to have
all the teams balanced by then.
Las( week there was only one
game. That was on Monday
when Don Holst Real Estate
defeated McGee G.M. Parts 4-
1. The other two evening's
games were cancelled.
