Karate is still a great
favorite with Goderich people
and was deemed an enormous
success here. There are over 50
people attending the course and
'the -classes will now be held at
the high school gymnasium to
take advantage of the larger
area apd the shower facilities.
A general disctassiora -about
the proposed recreation com-
plex for Goderich brought forth
many ideas for gleaning the
feelings of the local residents.
It was thought that school
students and recent high school
graduates could offer. a great
deal of support and enthusiasm
to the new venture. .The

The Square during the pre -

this would be a nice :.louc., to
the festive season in Uoderich
and the cmmmittee hopes the
people of the town will come
out to hear the singi tg and
maybe even join in. 1 ,
Speaking of Christmas, it was
learned that floats and bands
are being lined up for the Santa

Goderich.
ANNLANDERS
Dear Ann Landers: My
husband and i- are both too up-
set to think clearly. If we are
wrong, will ydu- please tell us?
Our daughter is getting
married in October. We plan-
ned a nice wedding and recep-
- tion in our home for about 100
people. Everything was fine un-
til last week when our daughter
informed us that they would
prefer 'to have the reception at
the home of the groom's
parents. My husband and I
refused, so they decided bn a
much smaller wedding with NO
reception.
Today we were told that the
groom's family will give a large
reception at a swanky club
following the services. Of
course we are hurt.
Were we wrong in saying no
to their request that the in-laws
'have the reception at their
home? Is it right that the in--
laws'
n=laws' are giving the reception
now? ---Route Twenty -Three" -
Dear Route - There are a few
unknown considerations, such
as the comparative size of the
homes, number of guests, etc.
Based on the facts as stated,
y
I'd sayou should have agreed
to let the in-laws give the recep-
tion at their home. (Most
parents of the bride would have
welcorhed such an offer.)
In view of your refusal to go
along, you have no legitimate
complaint at this time. So kiss
and make up or you might ruin
the spirit of -the day and that
would be veru unfortunate for
all concerned.
