ROUND ANO ABOUT WITH MARINA
Saturday afternoon - the big
day for Santa and the kids - of
all ages.
Every year .we worry about
floats .for a parade... don't
know why I should be on the
worry end but here 1 am and
here is a last notice- if you are
having a last minute entry,
please call 524-8373 so that
they can place you. - See ad re
marshalling time and route in
this paper -
The parade gets under way
at 1 o'clock and we hope for a"
few.. more "walking entries"
like clowns, or animals, ducks
and such .to bring a few laughs
to brighten everyone up.
Parades, in this town are
spasmodic - but we have had
three beautiful ones _the last
few years thanks largely to
Mrs. Blue of Blue's Groceteria,
her Santa, her sleigh and rein,
deer and all the lovely gremlins
on her float.
Not only that she went to
great lengths to have a
beautiful Santa's Court, where
the little ones had a chance to
TALK to Santa and be under
shelter while they were waiting.
I understand this lovely float
will not be available to us this
year and I for one am very
sorry to hear it.
So there are„ a few changes
made and one of them is that
Santa will be holding Court at
the old Signal -Star office on
West Street after - yes, I said
AFTER • the parade. The
children can come in the front
door and out the back door,
then back onto 'West St. or
wherever they wish to go.
In line with Christmas, I
heard of a busy little lady who
is making doll clothes like ,mad
- and beautifully,loo. From the
big walking dolls to Tiny
Thumbeilina, all ,the Barbie
dolls including Ken and other
'boy' dolls to the GI Joes and
