HOUSE LEAGUE
On Monday, November 19,
the Bedford Hotel sparked by
Mark Crawford's two goals,
defeated Gardiner's Dairy. Jim
Walton ^ a"asisted on Mark's
second goal. Mike Moriarity
gained the shutout for his team.

Friday, November 23 saw
Graham Electric defeat Bed-
ford Hotel 4-2. David Gallow
was the sharpshooter for the
"Electrics" as he scored three
goals and assisted on the
fourth. Paul Jeffrey scored the
fourth goal on a goal -mouth
scramble. Mark Crawford
scored his third goal of the
week for the Bedford team.
Todd Rittinre'r scored the
second. Bedford goal. Joe
Melady played a very strong
game in goal for Graham Elec-
tric as he stopped three
breakaways.
Brian Shortreed got Kentucky
Chicken's} only goal as they lost
2-1

The Suncoast Estates Atom
All -Stars started their
W.O.A.A regular schedule off
on the right foot- here Saturday,
defeating Mitchell 6-2. The
Suns made their first ap-
pearance in theirrnew uniforms,
supplied by their new sponsor
Suncoast Estates Limited.
1n a brief pre -game
ceremony, Goderich ltItnur
Hockey Association President,
Dr. Jim Peters, expressed the
appreciation of the {Goderich
Minor Hockey Association to
the firm for their interest and
support of the team. Company
representative Bert Alexander
dropped the first puck in the
ceremonial face-off, to open the
new season.

The Suns exploded fur five
unanswered goals in the second
period10 erase a 1 -0 -lead which
Mitchell held at the end of the
first period on a goal by team
captain J. Heinbuck.
Randy Graham was the
hand:' -man around the net .for
Goderich, scoring three times
for,, the Suns, twice in the
second period, and once in the
third. He also picked up an
assist.
Jim Fritzley scored two goals
for the winners, while Larry
Boyce had a goal and an'.assi"st. k
John Huff, Mark Rowe, and
Graham Electric.. notched -''Larry Kelly, who worked hard
their second win -on Saturday, all night for the Suns, each had

LADIES' AUXILIARY
ALL-STARS
On Saturday, November 24,
the Novice's defeated Blyth 3-0.
Jeff Denomme and Mike
Moriarity shared the shut -out..
The team forechecked very well
and the defence kept the puck
inside the opposition as well,
and as a result of this the locals
had a wide territorial advan-
tage. Brent Fisher scored the
first goal' with David Gallow
and Mark Crawford assisting.
Daryl Madge scored the
second goal, with assists going
to Frazer Abbott and John
Kloss. David. Gallow scored the
third goal with Crawford and
John Peters assisting. Pat
Cronin, the Blyth goaltender,
was the standout of the game.
It was his goaltending that kept
the score at a low level.
ATOMS HOUSE LEAGUE
Glenmark Homes defeated
Kentucky Fried Chicken 7-2 in
The first game Tuesday evening.
Steve Dobie led the Glenmark
Homes with four goals, while
Rob Jeffrey came up with two
and John Little had a single.
Kent Tigert and Randy Middel
.each got a goal for the Ken-
tucky Chickens.
In the second game, Legion
Auxiliary and Goderich Elec-
tric played to a one -all tie. Del
Bedard scored the goal for
Goderich Electric as , Scott
Wilson set up the play. Paul got
the equalizer for the Legion
Team, Jeff Sowerby and Steve
Ruxton assisting.
In Saturday's games, Glen -
mark Homes continued to win,
as they defeated Goderich Elec-
tric 4-2. RobrJeffrey led the at-
tack with his first hat -trick of
the season, and Neil Coughlan
got the other goal for Glenmark
Homes. Picking up assists for
the winners *ere Joey Burbine,
Steve Dobie, Dennis Kerr and
Robert Willis. Dave
MacDonald played a strong
game for Goderich Electric as
he got one goal and an assist.
Tim Lassaline scored Goderich
Electric's second goal and Tom
Profit and Michael Chisholm
drew assist's.
Legion Auxiliary won a close
one over the Kentucky
Chickens when Gary Williams
scored the winning goal for the
Legion. Setting him up was
Paul Bolan. Danny Redpath
opened the sooting for the
Lotion Auxiliary, unassisted.
Robert Cummings
and: Jim
MacDonald shared the nettpin-
ding duties for the Suncoast
Estates' team
Heinbuck scored the other
Mitchell goal, late in the third
period on a powerplay.
Goderich took three of the
tour minor penalties handed
out by referees Dennis Reed
and Paul Schaefer.
Die Suns played Sunday
night in Zurich, and make their
.next home appearance here
Saturday ni;ht at 5:45 when
Seaforth Is the visiting team.
Seafurth is the team that
Goderich defeated to win the
Group Championship last year,
so the game should provide
some good action.

PEE WEE
HOUSE LEAGUE
On November 19, 1973
(Monday), Sifto defeated Club
Grill by a score Of 2-0 on goals
by Geoff King and Danny
Boyce; Mike McLeod assisted
on King's goal. Mike Reynolds
picked up the shutout.
In the second game, Monday,
Lionel's Sunoco previously
known as (Goderich Motors)
scored five goals to defeat
Goderich Restaurant by a score
of 5-2. Rick Leddy, Eric Skirten
and John Clements got singles,
and Wayne Jackson got a pair
of goals. Jeff Denomv had three
assists, Wayne Jackson one.
Scoring for Goderich
Restaurant was done by Bruce
Melick and Rick Ryan:* assist
by Sean Mack.
On Friday, November 23,
results shpwed Lionel's Sunoco
(Goderich Motors) and Sifto
Salt playing to a three -three
tie. Wayne Jackson perfwrmed
the hat trick getting all three
goals for Lionel's Sunoco. Doug
Cruikshank paced the Sifto's
with two., while Danny Boyce
scored the other . Mike McLean
picked up an assist.
The final game on Friday
saw Goderich Restaurant pick
up their first win by a score of
four to one over Club Grill. A
real effort was put forth by
these boys in this game. Keep
working! Scoring for Goderich
Restaurant ,was Bruce Me;ick
with three and Robert Pinkney
with a single. Don Coughlin
scored the lone marker for Club
Grill.
THE GODERICH
LIONS, PEE WEES
Thursday night Goderich
defeated Clinton Pee Wees 10-1
in the first W.O.A.A. game.
Leading the storing for
Goderich was Mike Hodges
with three goals and one assist.
Roger Lewis and Larry Madge
each got two goals and one
assist; Robert McDonald one
goal and one assist; one goal
each for Steven Arbour and
Bill Peters; Larry McGee
assisted two; and Ronan
Conlon and Terry Kisch one
assist each. The lone Clinton
goal was scored by Jeff
'Oolclough.
Saturday night the disap•

pointed Pee Wee Lions were
unable to play hockey as their
opponents, Grand Bend did not.
appear. The Goderich Lions
will meet Grand Bend Tuesday
at 6 p.m. in Zurich arena. This
will be the last game 'played in
the W.O.A.A. as the

The Goderich Pee Wees will
play exhibition games until
O.M.H.A. Playoffs begin.
This Saturday night at 6:30
the Pee Wees will r'heet London
Minor in Goderich. A return
match is tentatively planned. in
the London Gardens December
23.
POLICE FALCONS
BANTAM ALL-STARS
Saturday November 24 in a
regular W.O.A.A. ' scheduled
game at the Goderich arena,
the Police Falcons tied Mitchell
three -all. In the first period
Bill Lewis scored Goderich's
only goal as Mitchell went
ahead 2-1. Mike Avery scored
all three goals for Mitchell. In
the second period Tim McLean
tied the score as Jeff Harrison
set him up, but Mitchell ended
the second period being one up
3-2. Gary Peters tied the game
at the 2.39 mark of the third
period. Paul Schaefer and
Steve Chase set up the tieing
goal. Next game is Friday in
Hensall and then a return
'game Saturday.
BANTAM
HOUSE LEAGUE
Monday, November 19 was
the first game scheduled in the
Bantam Division. Don Hoist
Real Estate „upset Goderich
Elevator 7-3. Rick Rawson set
up five of the goals and was
outstanding on defence while
Tom Doherty got the hat trick
for the winners. The difference
was goal tending, as Brian
Good stopped several shots
that were labelled n and also
picked up an assist in the game.
Goderich " Elevator goal
scorers were Wayne Graham,
with tto goals and an assist,
and Ian Chisholm with one.
Loni Fisher and Steve Doney
each. picked up -two goals for
Don Hoist, while Mike Jeffrey
had two assists and Fred
Jewell drew an assist in the
game.
Tuesday night's game bet-
ween Goderich Elevator and
McGee G.M. Parts' teams en-
ded up in a three -all tie. Bill
Gauley of McGee's was the big
scorer as he picked up two
goals and the other goal was by
Leroy Meriam. Goderich
Elevator had a 2-1 lead in the
game, but lost it ands had to
come from behind to gain the
tie. Steve .Meriam, Roy Fisher
and Hugh Hanly each got a
goal for Fred and Chuck
Jewell's team, the Goderich
Elevator's.
Thursday's game between
McGee G.M. Parts and Don,
Hoist Real Estate was a real
dose one as Bill Gauley scored
all three goals for McGee's to
give them a 3-2 victory, In the -
first period, Bill scored with
assists going to Pat Kelly and
Kent Mills, Bill's other two
goals in the second period were
set up by Pat Kelly and Leroy
Meriam.
Don Holst's team had
several chances to score as they
had several breakaways, but
'Dan Wilkinson in the nets for
McGee's was outstanding.
Finally, in the third ' period,
Mike Jeffrey scored for Don
Hoist and set up the second
goal for Rick Rawson. Dennis
LeBlanc drew an assist for the
first Don Holst goal.
KINSMEN
MIDGET ALL-STARS
Saturday's game in Clinton
was one that Goderich lost
because of a couple of- cheap
penalties. Two ten minute ones
in the third period were very
costly. Clinton won 6-5. The
Goderich Kinsmen Midget All -
'Stars got all five goals from
Grant Shelto'h, -as he and Lee
Arbour were the only ones on
the team that gave 100% effort
Clinton scored four goals while
Goderich was a man short. Lee
