They made collages for animal groups and are making charts for the characteristics of each animal group. Mrs. Doherty's Grades 2 and 3 are. working on com- munication projects. They collected pictures, mounted them and are going to make means of communication,- such As toy telephones, etc. The kindergarten s are get- ting ready for winter. They are looking at snow tires and plan- ting bulbs. They are sewing papermittens and painting etc. The Grade 7's are doing, nature art by mounting on wallpaper. Awkward Sizes Because Canada Standard Sizing labelling is not com- pulsory the size of children's clothing often varies widely from brand to brand. Manufac- turers have the choice of using standard sizes. In the interests of economy, efficiency and,con- venience, Consumers' Association of Canada strongly advocates the use of Canada Standard Sizing labelling 'for all children's garments. CAC asks consumers to request stan- dard sizes when they shop. Only consumer demand will bring change. The com- petitors were the senior girls of St. Marys School, Goderich, the winners of the Huron tour- nament, and the Senior girls of St. Columban School, St. Columban, the winners of the Perth t'urnament. The winners of the Huron - Perth championship were the Goderich girls. The score was 2-0 with Theresa Cummings scoring both goals. No injuries were reported throughout the game.
