- On Friday, November 16 the
Novice Legion Auxiliary All -
Stars travelled to St. Marys and
were on the losing end of a 3-0
score.
Frazer Abbott, John Peters,
John Kloss and Jeff Denomme'
were outstanding for the locals.
The team missed a few chances
while St. Marys was short -
.handed, which could have tur-
ned the• game the other way.
The forward attack -still lacks
the ---aggressiveness of holding
the opposition in their end, but
a few snore games should cure
this problem. When this is ac-
complished, they are going to
be a hard team to beat—

BANTAM : "B
Berry's Bantams from Dear-
born, Michigan, were in town
for the weekend to play
Ooderich in two exhibition
games. Goderich Bantam "B”
All -Stars were just put together
this past week by Jim McCaul.
Goderich did exceptionally well
considering that the players
have not practised together or
played as a unit before they
played these games.
In the first game, Dearborn
scoredthree quick unanswered
goals and held on to a 3-2 win.
Bill Gauley and Mike Milley
scored for. the Bantam "B"s,
but ,they just couldn't get the
equalizer. Sunday's contest was
close for two periods as
Goderich held a 2-1 lead, but
Berry's Bantams scored four
goals to put the game on ice
and give them a 5-2 win and a
sweep of the series.
Penalties were very costly for
the Goderich team, and as a
result, an investigation mill be
heti with the coaches" of the
Bantam's, Jim McCaul, Fred
Jewell, Convener of Bantam'
Division, and referee=in-chief
over the refereeing and the
game misconduct and game
suspension which was handed
out.
Goderich opened the scoring
as- Bill Gauley scored from
Fred Jewell and Berry's Ban-
tams tied the . game as Popiel
scored two minutes later.
Before the end of the first
period, Goderich made it 2-1 on
a goal by Fred Jewell, with Bill
Gauley assisting.
Bill Gauley. played well in
both games 'despite an injured
hand.
