The names of curlers con -

appear that we will have. a full
contingent for all our draws.
Do remember that all this week
is free ice time so if you would
like to -do a little practicing,,
plan on corning down to the
club. The regular draws will
commence next week and once
the rinks are drawn you should
have a call from your skip. If
the opening dance is any in-
dication, it should be a good
year! I might mention here
that, for those interested,
brooms are available through
the Pro Shop.

morning is the time slot and
once again Shelagh Sully is in
charge of this draw. Make sure
Shelagh has your name if you
are interested.
I hesitate .to mention
Bavarian Night once more but
I must. It would appear that
someone walked off with Ken
Hutchin.' coat by mistake.
Whoever you ore, your coat is
at the club and will you please
give Ken a call? Must have
been cold going home Ken...
with those short pants and all!
That's all for this week folks
— as the golfers say — see you

. If this is the year you're looking for
a new sled, Evinrude is ready for you!!
With Skimmer, a beautiful series of hot
performance lightweight snowmobiles
that's an new. From the snow on up
New Alternate -Firing Engine
The heart of Skimmer's hot
ierf$rmance is`a totally new
powerhouse engine designed and built
by Evinrude. Instead of the usual •
multi -piece assembly we used a tough,
one-piece crankshaft to reduce high
torque slippage. We developed a new
ree(1-valve intake system that delivers
low end torque without sacrificing high
speed power. And we.wrapped every-
thing up in a compact. lightweight pack-
age that looks small, but performs big.
New Starting System
'I"he Skimmer is equipped with the
surest, easiest starting system of any
sled in its class. Just pull the mitt grill
handle and you get the advantages of 2
to 1 gearing, neutral lockout for safe
starts, Firepower breakerless: CI)
Ignition for fast starts, and new surface
gap plugs that'last, a lot longer.
New 'Controlled -
Ride' Suspension
There are.only two t hings a
snowmobile suspension system has
to do: keep the machine staple on
c'or'nering and over rough terrain; and
-keep you comfortable while it's'doing it.
if you can do that with slides, fine. If
you can do that with botfieea the way. we
(li(1, het ter still. Because Evinru(le's
new controlled -ride bogie system is an
all-1vettt her system. The hogie wheels
are lubricated for- life. They don't need
snow for lubrictit ion like slide rails do.
And after absorbing a bump, coil
springs prevent t he bogie wheels from
bouncing around. You can also adjust
Skimmer's new suspension to one of
t hi'ee riding positions, to suit, the load
and terrain.
New Low -Profile Styling
The sleek new Skimmers look great,.
But t he really beautiful part of it is,
what we did to make them that way.
I.ike'dropping the engine low and
moving it forward for more positive
steering control. Like putting the fuel
tank amidships outside the engine •
compartment to prevent vapour lock.
And adding a new 3 -layer shock
absorbing neat that's every bit as
comfortable as it looks.
Plus a lot more new•features
There's a tougher one-piece m(81If'le(i
track with deep biting treads.
Wide -stance skis for better flotation
and steering. A tiO-wa,t,t., hi -low sealed
beam ,adjust able headlight. Controlled
air flow cooling that's (lUIet (9't 1)5 'fl most
free-air models. Optional ext res like
fully-light0 tachometer and
speedometer/odometer. heavy duty
chrome -plated shocks and electric start.
Rotary Combustion
and Quiet Flite Models
The all-new Skimmer 1s 8 beatlt11(11
piece of engineering. W'hic'h is just
about what you'd expect from the
people at LVini'ude. After all, we
introcluc'P(l the first North American
built rotary combustion snowmobile
engih('.(there are t wo RC Trailblazers
t his year: :35 and 45 horsepower). And
we had the quietest snowmobile on the
market in 1973 (this year no one has
come close to our Quiet Flite at 73 dbA).
Our Skimmers are available in 3
packages. One is a 65() high performer.
And t he 410 and 400 also boast very
impressive power -to -weight ratios.
See thy complete Evinrude line at
your Evinrude snowmobile dealer. •
