Ghosts and goblins made an early appearance las_ t Halloween when about 15 members of
the Goderlch Municipal Day Nursery's afternoon class were entertained with cake, ice
dream and „other treats at a special party hosted by Lorraine Cauchi, wife of Dr. M.M.
Cauchl of 14 Caledonia Terrace in Goderich. Even Cauchi's dog got into the act dressed
perhaps as Lassie? The children taught by Carol Egener and Cathy Jewell seemed to enjoy
IN party Immensely. About 45 children are enrolled in the nursery. Mrs. Cauchi also

Candystripers of Alexandra
Marine and 0-41-leral Hospital
held a meeting in the Boar- .
droom under, the direction of
Mr. N.T. Ormandv.
Six riew Candystripers
Brenda Harrison, Marian Van-
der Hewel, Louise-Kaminska,
Corry Kuipers, Judy Matthews
and Rose Wain were welomed.
The new Candystripen were
given some preliminary
training and were assigned to
experienced Candystripers for
further training.

Social Studies projects are
almost finished up and will
soon be presented to the class.
In the junior hall a mixed
girls and boys volleyball team
- has been started.
Mr. Currie's Grade 5 have
-completed their projects of
animals. 1
4 Grade 2 made owls one day
in art. They now watch us with
their big eves as we do our
work. " .

Eight lucky students went to
Brucefield to hear a ukulele
hand from Halifax under the
direction of Chalmers Doane
who is music director for the
Halifax School Board. Students
who attended were Richard
Slier; 'furry Bedard, Sandra
Klass, .Julie Sowert►y, Rodney
Graharu, Brian Melick,
Roberta Wheeler, Donna Allen.
Mrs. Shaddick's room is put-
ting on a jelly bean raffle this
week with the grand prize: the
jelly beans! The proceeds go to
the Red Cross.

children collected money for

corresponding period last year.
Sales and other revenues were
$471.3 million, against $416.2
for the first nine months of
1972. • .
Cash flow for the first nine
months of 1973 amounted. to
$49.2 million, compared with
$37 million for the same period
last year.
Net. income for the quarter
ended September 30, 1973 was
$9.2 million or 60 cents per
share on safes and other
revenues, of $163.4 million. In
the corresponding period last
year, net income was $4.3
million or 28 cents per share on
sales and other revenues of
$141.5 million.:

Goderich will be held at Goderich Council Chambers,
