Room 30 at GDCI was busy Tuesday night while parents
were In and out_ all evening, during the Open Nouse. AQ-
proximately 350 parents visited the school and according to
John H. Stringer, school principal; it was a very good tur-
nout. Although kept busy throughout the evening, Mr.
Stringer found time to visit some of the classes and meet the

Open Howe was held Tuesday
night at the Goderich District
Collegiate Institute.

different get-togethers planned

Besides "open house, the
school also provides many
evenings of entertainment
thrtittghotyr.. the -..-year,- such -1w --
drama
drama presentations, musical
concerts and variety nights. .
During this week, evenings of
one act plays will be presented
to the public, at rhe school
'auditorium. The evening, en-
titled 'Trigon '74' will he held
on November 7, 8 and' 9.
During Education Week,
possibly in March, the school
will have various displays set
up in the school, said Mr.
Stringer.

into the school during classes,

The Sailors displayed signs
of their form of last year in the
final minutes of the game. They
play their fourth exhibition
game here tomorrow evening,
Friday November 9 against the
Kincardine Bulldogs.
This will probably be their
final exhibition match as they
will likely start the regular
season on November 1(3.

Senior Vikings lose to SHDHS

The c;.D.C.I. senior Vikings
football team lost . their only
game of the Huron -Perth con-
ference schedule here last
Thursday but the loss was
enough to relegate the Vikings
to second place in the final
standings. Both South Huron
of Exeter and the Vikings
wound up with records of six
wins and one loss, but the Pan-
thers win over the Vikings gave
them first place.
The second place finish for
the Vikings put there into the
semi-finals played - Tuesday
here against the Listowel;
Lords who finished fourth.
South Huron met Central
Huron of Clinton in the other
semi-final Tuesday. The—win-
ners of the two semi-final
gan►es meet with the champion.
