Warden Roy Pattison and County Administrator John Berry have signed the necessary lease forms per- taining to the rental by the province of the addition to the 'assessment building. According to the Property Chairman, Reeve Harold Lobb of Clinton, the work is proceeding on schedule and the new facilities should be ready for occupancy early in the new year. Additional space has been requested to the Social Services Department and plans are now ,afoot to renovate the storeroom adjacent to the Social Services office in the court house for this purpose. What's New at Huronview Volunteers from the Clinton Christian Reform Church assisted with Monday after- noon's activities. Marie Flynn of. Clinton along with Mary Taylor, Norman', Speir and Jerry Collins provided the old tyme music for the occasion, with a special number, for those having. Birthdays during the week. Eight tables of euchre 'and crokinole were played at the Wednesday afternoon games. The Goderich Psychiatric Hospital Rhythm Band enter- tained on Family Night. The Band arranged and directed by Gordon Harrison with Shorty Munro as M.C. provided" a variety of musical numbers. There were mouth organ solos, vocal duets and Solos, the charleston and a merimba soCo "`F The group sang "Happy Bir- thday" for Mrs. Irwin who was celebrating her 92nd birthday on Thursday. The Clinton Hor- ticulture Society donated several bouquets of flowers which were given to resident% for special occasions. WHAT'S. NEW AT HURONVIEW The regular monthly meeting of the Huronview Ladies Auxiliary was held on Tuesday, October 16, in the Craft Room at Huronview with members present from Blyth, Clinton, Goderich, Hensall and Lon- desboro. The president, Mrs. Colclough, opened the meeting with The Lord's Prayer and welcomed the members to the meeting. Mrs. Colclough repor- ted that donations were still being received for the "Van L,roject" and was confident that they would reach their ob- jective. Remodelling of the van , is in progress and would soon be ready to be presented to Mr, Archibald, Administrator of Huronview. Mrs. Colclough thanked all the members who had helped to make the Bazaar a success. Special thanks to the Women's Institutes for their con- tribt tions to the Bake Sale. Th receipts from the Bazaar wa. $490, the Tea $53.58, the Bake Sale $120.80 and the draw tickets for the picture and the rug,. $210.50. Myrtle Dick of Hensall won the picture and Mrs. Hazel McMullen of Little Current, Manitoulin Island won the rug. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and ' ap- proved, the treasurer's report was given and Mrs. McGregor reported for the Craft Room. Mrs. Peck gave a very in- teresting report of the conven- tion in "Toronto which she and Mrs. Colclough attended; both ladies thanked the' Auxiliary for the opportunity of attending the convention. Final plans will be made at the next Auxiliary meeting. Londesboro Women's Institute will be in charge of the December Birth- day Party to be held on Wed- nesday, December 5. - Mrs. Durnin of Londesboro gave a humorous reading en- titled "A Passing Phase". The meeting closed with the Mizpah Benediction and lunch was ser- ved. The next meeting of the Auxiliary will be held on Mon- day, November 19. Vanastr� gun club 'Tom Jardip of Wingham had a perfect day last Saturday at the Vanastra Gun Club skeet shoot when he hit 25 out of 25 birds. Bill Stewart of Goderich was second with 24 hits and John Land of Bayfield, Mary riatkin of Clinton and Dr. Andy Rynne of Bayfield were tie for third with 21 hits each.
