the Atom (formerly Novice)
izaskiockey All -Stars Prayed their
first exhibition game Saturday
here against, last year's all On-
tario champions, Stoneybrook.
Despite being defeated 16-0
by the powerful Stoneyhrook
squad, all was not gloom for
the Atom All -Stars. Coach
Richard Madge was pleased
with the way his team con-
tinued to try even though ob-
viously out -classed in size and
ability. Stoneyhrook was
playing their fifth game while it
was the first for the Goderich
team. Coach Madge feels that,
with lots of work, hig'team will
be competitive in its own
league.
Six players scored twice for
Stoneybrook. They were David
Randerson, Kevin Lars, Brian
Holmes, Bob Curtis, Cam Mills
and Steve Nicolle. Singles wept
to Jamie Allen, John Davis;
Don Ashman and Steve
M_acGillivary. The well balan-
ced scoring indicates the over -
.all power of the Stoneybrook
' team.
The Atom All -Stara next ac-
tion ' is here Saturday night at
6:30 with Wingham ats , the
visitors. This game should
provide a truer test of the
team's potential. Come out and
support your teams on Satur-
day night!
