Mr. and Mrs. Grant Sowerby accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Fenick from Thornhill, and Barbara Blake of Toronto, were home during the weekend. David Dawson and other , area hunters spent last week in the Sudbury area, and were for- tunate in obtaining a large' moose. On Wednesday Mrs. Clarence, McClenaghan and Mrs. Graham McNee attended the Regional meeting far North Huron U.C.W., at which the former reported on Westmin- ster College and the latter, on Supply Work. Quite ' a number from this area attended the C.A.S. banquet held Wednesday evening at Pine Ridge Chalet, RR 2' Hensall, in honor of Foster Parents. Guest speaker was Doug Finlay, Senior Co - Ordinator Children's Services Branch, Ontario Ministry of Health. His talk was humorous and informative dealing with situations from a ch•ild's viewpoint. Visitors on' Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Fowler were Mr. and Mrs -Tim Fowler and children, Darrell and Karen,-, and nephew Robbie Jardine, _, from Parkhill;®on Wednesday. Mrs. Glen Ball from Barrie and her daughter, Mrs. Carl Bailey and three children from Mild- may; and last Sunday 'guests were a• nephew and his wife. Mr. and Mrs. Harold .Jenken from Toronto. Congratulations. are exten- ded to Mr. and Mrs. Ross McNee who will he 65 vears married on Sunday, October 28. Mrs. McNee is with Mr. and , Mrs. 'Graham McNee in Dungannon since Mr. McNee has been confined to Alexandra Hospital, Goderich following a stroke several weeks ago. The C.G.I.T. 'girls were busy on Saturday when they raked and burned leaves, washed windows or did many •odd chores at a reasonable fee for ' .folks in the village. They ear- ned a fine sum for their project. On Sunday a .special service was held in Dungannon United Church with members of Carlow Masonic Lodge in at- tendance. Rev. Clarence McClenaghan's sermon was en- titled "Called Together". Mr. George Gibson, Master of the Lodge, read the Scripture lesson. Special music' under Karen Rivett at the organ, and Mrs, Leonard Reed at the piano, .,also Donna -. Sue Errington on guitar, provided a choir number and a guitar solo. On November 4, there is to he Baptismal Service in .Dungan- non- United Church. TON TALK Congratulations and hest wishes were extended to Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Boyle, Napier Street in •Goderich, when they quietly 'celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on October 23. And there is really'a sense of pride in paying taxes ---the only thing is, we could be just as proud for half the -money.
