with double pneumonia. His
sister, Darlene was admitted to
the same hospital on Monday,
October 15 with pneumonia.
Mrs. Jim Gilmore spent -the
past week in London and
visited her sister, a patient in
Victoria Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs.. Jim Martin
and faintly spent the weekend
in Brantford with her mother
Mrs. Jim Quinlan. On Friday
evening Mr. and Mrs. Martin
attended a dinner and dance
in huni`►ur of the 20th reunion
celebrations of the St. Johns
Girls Drum Corps of which Pat
was a former member.
Several ladies from this area
attended the Trinity United
Church Fall Thankoffering on
tiunday evening, October 21
and enjoyed slides shown by
Reverend Barrie Passmore of
his recent trip to- the - Holy
Land.

All the girls chose the stuff
toys they want .to make. Some
of the girls made iewelry boxes
out of card boxes by gluing
shells on to them.' The shells
-were those the girls collected,,
on their hike about three weeks
ago. .
The- girls got together and
wrote a letter to their Captain

.is 'visiting in Holland at the
present time. -
The senior girls' basketball team at G.D.Q.I. Is not having
quite as much success as the Juniors. The girls are winless In

Blood donor clinic coming
The Red Cross Blood Donor
Service :announced this week
that it will be holding a clinic
at the Goderich District
Collegiate Institute on Wed-
nesday, November ,7, between
the hours of 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
and 6.30 p.m. and 8.30 p.m.
Mrs. Alma Wallace, co-
ordinator of Blood Donor Ser-
vices, said all concerned
citizens should be aware of the
need for. blood donations at
this time.
"The volunteer blood donor
is the only way the Red Cross
can supply the constant
demand for blood from 30
hospitals in the Western On-
tario Region," she said.
