ministers
?ostmaster General Andre
Ouellet today announced that a
new series of low value
definitive stamps will be issued
17 October 1973. There are
seven denominations in all,
with. portraits of forme&
Canadian prime ministers
featured on the one -cent to six -
cent values and ,a portrait of
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth
II on the eight -cent value.
"The series reflects a new
emphasis in the t eme of
Canada's definitive issues,"
said Mr. Ouellet. "Whereas, in
the higher values of our
definitive stamps, the emphasis
has been mainly on geographic
themes, the low value series
will now highlightour
historical heritage."

quickly as we did September
