Winners were Ruth Alton, Ken Metzger, Lynn , On September 19 Mr. and Mrs. Thos: Webster of Dungan- non happily celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an Open House to all their friends and relatives. Over. 200 guests took the opportunity to visit them and extend their congratulations. Prior to this on Friday evening September 14 the family held a dinner party at the Log Cabin Restaurant in Lucknow. Mr. and Mrt Webster were. married September 19, 1923 in the United Church parsonage Dungannon by Rev. J.R. Peters. Mrs. Webster was the former Anna Hazel Alton, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Alton. Mr. �Webster;s parents were the lite Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Webster of Clinton. They have two daughters Mrs. Wm. (Ettabelle) Bradley of Goderich and Mrs. Ken (Lois) Thomas of Willowdale. They have five grandchildren, Brenda, Faye, and Alice" Bradley and Lynda and Wendy Thomas. Mr. and Mrs. Webster operated a 250 acre farm on the 6th concession of West Wawanosh township until 11 'years ago when they moved t Dungannon. Mr. Webster hail also been involved in the but- cher business for more than fifty- years. They are members of Dungannon United Church where Mr. Webster has been Church' treasurer for many years. The members of the Hospital Auxiliary of the Alexandra General and Marine Hospital were taken on a conducted tour of the hospital prior to their regular meeting. The women were pleased to view the room recently fur- nished and decorated by the Auxiliary, This room will be used as a lounge for "waiting fathers", new mothers, and staff in that section of the hospital. A television set is to be added in the near future. The president, Mrs. J. Berry, presided over the meeting. Silence was observed in memory of a recently deceased member, Mrs. T. Donnelly. The Auxiliary is sponsoring a ' "One Man Showing" of pain- tings by Mr. J. W. McLaren in November in North Street Church hall. Plans are under- way to make this an outstan- ding event. Four members' of the Auxiliary, Mrs. C. E. White, Mrs. R. McCallum, Mrs. J. Kinkead, and Mrs. E. Pridham attended the meeting of District Two of the Ontario Hospital Association in Wingham on September 24.
