A
it about boats
BY SKIPPER
WALTER DEE,
Boating in Goderich has
drastically changed since I used
to sail my "Snipe" during- all
my spare time. (Although when
I look back on those days, I am
sure h spent more time trying to
paddle back to snug than ac-
tually sailing.) The other 'two
sail boats in the harbour at
that time were "Wanderer"
and the "Dolphin" which really
outclassed me! However today
the harbour is litterly plugged
with fine sailing vessels as well
as outboards and cruisers.
Over the past few weeks I
have thoroughly enjoyed doing
this boating -article and I would
like to thank the Signal Star
for making them available to
the boaters in Goderich. .In
preparing these articles I have
tried to write about topics that
would be of general interest.
There is no end to the material
that can be written on the sub-
ject but, as the summer sailing
season is rapidly drawing to a
close, this will be the last
edition of "A bit about Boats"
for this year.
If you wish. to.. see more of
this type of article next season
be sure to let the Signal know
and it will be continued as a
public service.
