The bride is the former Sheila Belanger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Art Belanger of Listowel. The groom Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Stanley of Lucknow. The Rev. C.W. Lewis officiated for the double ring ceremony. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Spain of Sarnia and a granddaughter of Mrs. William Gilbert of 1.26 St. Patrick St., Goderieh.. For her wedding, the bride chose a floor -length gown of dotted swiss organdy over taf- feta in pinafore style, featuring .a high neckline and' long sleeves. Her shoulder -length veil was clasped to her head by a spray of white gardenias and she carried an arrangement of pink carnations and shasta daisies. Attending her cousin as n*id of honor was Debra Madge of Waterloo. Her floor -length, gown of. floral print on a blue background was of voile over taffeta and featured a scoop neckline, large puffed sleeves HAT'S NEW. AT NURONVIEW A lighted scroll of the Lord's Prayer and a praying hands plaque were presented to Huronview by Henry Leishman and unveiled by the Ad- ministrator, Mr. Archibald, at a dedication service on Sunday morning. Rev. McWhinnie, chaplain of the Home, in his message paid special tribute to Mr. Leishman in recognition of the gifts. Mrs. Jan Bylsma was guest soloist. William Pickering of Sarnia attended the groom and the ushers were Dennis Cook, Clayton Mooty and Lloyd Aldridge. , During the service Cathy Jackson sang 0 Perfect Love and I Love You Truly. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the 40-.20 Club in Courtright. Mrs. Spain received guests in a floor -length gown of chiffon over taffeta. The white --skirt was topped with a mauve bodice and tiny purple violets accented the sleeves and high kline. She wore a corsaie of rAvellow carnations. Mrs. Spain vas assisted by Mrs, Hobday who chose .. Thor -length chil- i. ,, gown of pink and d gre n floral print on a yellow background. She., wore a cor- sage of deep pink carnations. Guests were present from Toronto, Kitchener, Goderich, Corunna, Welland, Waterloo and Kansas. For travelling in Wester Ontario .the bride chose a navy and white dress with white ac- cessories. On their -return the couple will reside in Sarnia. A shower for the bride:was given prior to her wedding by Miss Pamela Hobday assisted by her mother, Mrs. Elsie Hob - day. Mrs. Anderson repor- ted that through Provincial IODE 33 cases each valued at more than 8500.00 had been sent to 'Save The Children'. A lengthy discussion followed on the operation of the Opportunity Shap. It was decided the -Telephone. Com- mitteewould get in touch with , the members. A 'report from Mrs. J. Wallace, Education Secretary, showed that a bursary had been presented to a student at- tending a School of, Nursing and a scholarship haul been awarded' at the ._University Level.
