Vera Ryan, Eldon Johnston and Families.—:37x IN MEMORY OF MY .BELOVED WIFE PAMELA TO MY FRIENDS i learned the meaning of a word today, A word that we use every, time we pray. My -eyes have opened wide and i can see, i realize that word is meant for me. How many times I've heard it and been blind, The meaning of that word I had to find - Alone, without the counsel of another, Thoughhow they _tried—to ,conch me, like a mother. .This word I know will live with me forever. 'FORGIVE - A secret that will leave me never. Without it I have lived a life' of• hate, With bitterness and misery my fate. Blaming all who ever did me wrong, Clinging to each- hurt not being strong. . • Now I can reflect on things gone past, And know that i've forgiven all at last. Why carry on the pain of yesterday, When happiness is striving for a way, To gain priority in times to come. .Just say, at last I'm free - my hate is done. God gave us the power to love each other, And what a happy place this world would he. If we would just accept his words of wisdom - And practice what he tries to make us see. Hate and Prejudice that we find with us, Are products of the blind and in- secu re. ignorance has been their one exam- ple, Compassion, Love, Respect - Their only cure. Please: grant to us the knowledge we are brothers, , No matter what the colour of our - skin. The fact that we were born to dif- ferent climates, Do not make us different deep within. it's strange to see how children love each other, They do not notice things that adults see. Only when it's brought to their at- tention, Do they notice "He is not like me". Then they look to us with all their questions, - And we must recognize what we can give. A healthy attitude, one for another. Maybe then in peace -we will learn to live. Kaz Budny. Thank you all my Huron County friends for your kindness and sym- pathy at a time when they were deeply appreciated. And thank you for the flowers of Remembrence from the staff of Victoria Public School, Goderich United Soccer .
