wedding at which .Judith Anne
McGuire exchanged vows and
rings with James Bernard Red-
mond before Rev. Robert

The bride is the. daughter of
. Mrs. Muriel McGuire, R.R. 3
Goderich and the late Donald
G. McGuire. The groom is the
°son of ..Mr, and Mrs. .John -L.
Redmond. R.R. 5 Goderich.

The bride was escorted to the
altar 'by her uncle, Albert
McGuire, Goderich. She wore
a gown of nylon lagoda
fashioned-w'ith a high neckline,
long full sleeves, an empire
waist and detachable chapel
train elaborately trimmecij with
chantilly lace and. tinw sequin§
Her mantilla``} eadp e"` eTd� a
cathedral -length veil also
edged with chantilly lace. Her
flowers were pink variegated
miniature carnations and red
sweetheart roses.
Maid of honor was I ss San-
dra Maize. friend of the bride,
Dungannon, who was dressed
in a floor -length gown of pale
blue organza flocked with
pastel flowers and styled with'
scoop neckline and long
sleeves, Hot pink velvet rib-
bons trimmed the empire
waistline. A blue swiss party
hat completed her .ensemhl. a,....
Gowned identically ' to the
maid of honor was the
bridesmaid Miss Judy Moran,
friend of the pride, Lucknow.
Junior bridesmaid Miss
Brenda McGuire, sister of the
bride, R.R. 3 Goderich, was
gowned identically to the
senior attendants except she
wore. daisies in her hair.
All the bride's attendants
-carried white baskets decorated
with ribbons and white daisies
and filled with pink miniature
carnations and baby's breath.
They all wore cultured pearl
'necklaces, gifts from the bride
and groom.
Groomsman was Doug
Fisher, friend of the groom,
'Benmiller. Ushering guests
from Kitchener, London, Oak-
ville, Stratford, Waterloo,
Blyth and Sarnia as well as the
surrounding district' were Rick
.r Stright, friend of the groom,
R_R.- 3 Goderich, and' -Wayne
Powell, cousin of the bride,
Auburn.
The groom wore a burgundy
velvet, double-breasted tuxedo
with black lapels; , a black and
white ruffled shirt and black
trousers} The groom's atten-
dants wore ;black tuxedos with
blue ruffled shirts and white
boutonnieres.
Candle lanterns decorated
the tables at the Candlelight
Inn where. the wedding recep-
tion was held. A wedding
dance followed at Saltford
Hall. The bride's mother chose
a pink chiffon floor -length
gown styled with long sheer
sleeves, a high neckline and an
empire waistline. The dress,
featured a vest -of burgundy
velvet elaborately trimmed
with miniature pink flowers.
She wore white accessories and
a corsage of white carnations
with burgundy tinted ends to
match the burgundy on her
drew.
For travelling to Niagara
.Falls and the northern part of
the United &As, the bride
chastigsd to a knee-length short
Bisset
sleeved dress of white polyester
wi.th red, white and blue
checkered sleeves and collar,
red, white and blue shoes and a
cultured pearl brooch and
earring set, a gift of the groom.
The couple are residing at 116
Quebec Street,- Goderich.
Showers were given by the
community at C'arl'ow Hall;
Mrs. Rose Gower, aunt of the
bride,. Goderich; and Miss San-
dra Maize, maid of honor,
Dungannon.
On the couple's'wedding day, •
a buggy drawn by the maid of.
honor's horse was waiting to
carry the newlyweds around
tOwn.

was the scene Friday, August.
10 for the wedding at which
Douglas Lorne Popp, RR 1
Auburn took Sandra Margaret
Good, Londesboro, as his bride.
Rev. Stan MacDonald of-
ficiated, at the ceremony for the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Russell Good, Londesboro and
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorne
Popp, RR 1 Auburn. -
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lear
provided the wedding music.
- For her wedding, the bride
chose a floor -length. A-line
gown of white polyester crepe
featuring a stand-up collar and
an empire waist. Her cathedral -
length veil was held in place by
a rhinestone tiara and she
carried a Corsage of white'car-
nations and blue stephanotis
on a white Bible tied with
multi -colored ribbons.
Mrs. Helen Lyons, RR 1 Lon-
desboro was matron of honor
for her sister. She wore a floor -
length gown of flocked flowered
Sheer, over a pink lining. The
dress featured an empire waist,
short puffed sleeves and a
stand-up collar. A pink velvet
ribbon trimmed the empire
waist and she wore 'inulti-
colored bows in her hair.
Groomsman was Barry
MacDonald; Blyth. Ushers
were Robert Popp and Paul
Popp, brothers of the groom.
Following a reception at the
home of the bride's parents, the
newlyweds- left on a wedding
trip to Algonquin Park, the
bride travelling in a red
double-knit pant suit with beige
accessories. ,.
The couple are residing at
RR 1 Auburn.
Prior to her marriage,. the
bride was feted at showers
given by Mrs. Carol Longman
and Grace and Donna
Longman at their home for
relatives of the bride; by Mrs.
Harry Watkins, Mrs. Norman
Wright and Mrs. Ross Lovett
and Louise at the Watkins'
home for former Summerhill
neighbors; and by Mrs. Mar-
jorie Treble at her home for
relatives of the groom
A community shower was
also held at Londesboro United
Church for friends and neigh-
bors from the village.

and Mrs. David Anderson, Lon-
desboro. The bride is the
daughter of Mr '.,.Olive and the
late Harry Cook of Goderich.
The bride who was given in
marriage by her uncle Douglas
Matheson of London wore a
.Jean Muir gown of champagne
chiffon over crepe and carried a
bouquet' of peace roses and
hoya leaves.
The bride's attendants were
her sister, Mrs. Joanne Sproule
as matron of honor; Miss
,.Darlene• Hayter with Miss
Susan Bissett as bridesmaids.
They wore navy blue dotted
swiss pinafore gowns and
carried bouquets of mixed sum-
mer flowers.

groom's mother chose a cerise
chiffon gown and a corsage of
pink roses.., -

aunt of the bride entertained
relatives 'sand' friends at. a
miscellaneous shower. .
On August 4, Glenn Hayter,
Bob Campbell -and Toth Ford

Susan Bissett -held a shower
for friend's at the Hindmarsh
cot tage, Goderich.
On August 15, Roberts hall -
team gathered at --Howard and
Marjorie Cartwright's and
presented a gift.

Glenyce. Anderson sang Let It
Be Me and during the signing
of the register,, What the World

Ceremony at Nile
White gladioli and yellow
mums decorated Nile United
Church, Nile for the August 25
wedding at which James Ben-
son Sanders took Sharon Ilene
Sillib as his bride.
Rev. MacDonald conducted
the double -ring ceremony for
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
George Elwin Sillib, Nile and
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Benson
Howard Sanders, Goderich.
Music was supplied by Mrs.
Allan Webster.
Given tin marriage by her
parents and escorted to the
altar by her father, the bride
looked lovely wea ring her

i% op,' satin with a yoke of chan-
tilly lace. A peplum at the waist -
was trimmed with matching
lace, and the gown had lily
point sleeves. Her long turn
hack veil was trimmed with
lace matching her gown and
was he)d in place by a Juliet
cap with the same lace. The
bride carried a Cathedral
bouquet of red roses, '- pink
miniature carnations and
baby's breath.

• bride, Goderich. Her gown was
yellow, flo. ked Swiss, princess
style with a frill over the
shoulder. She carried a nosegay
of white mums tinted yellow,
and baby's breath, In her 'hair
she wore tiny butterflies tinted
td match her dress. -
Bridesmaids were Mrs.
Donna Adams, Dungannon,
and Miss Valerie Stothers,
Nile. They were gowned iden-
tically to the matron of honor
but in mauve and green respec-
tively.
Bruce Sillib, brother of the
bride, Dungannon, was groom-
sman. Ushers were Gary
Sproul, uncle of the bride,
Auburn, and Russell Pruder,
friend of .the groom, Goderich.
The wedding reception was
held at Saltford Valley\Hall.
The bride's mcither wore a
mint green crepe, full length
sleeveless gown with a corsage
of .pale green carnations. The
groom's . mother wore - a teal
hlt.'crepe full length sleeveless
gown with a corsage of light
blue carnations.
