Health Inspector Jim McCaul.
Mr. McCaul said last week
that he was "very very
pleased” with the .work the
students had done 'for the
health unit.
"They did an excellent job and
could assume full time
positions with any health
unit," he noted.
The Health Inspection head
also said he would be recom-
mending to the Huron County
Board of Health that the policy.
of employing students during
the summer months be con-
tinued next year.
During their tour of
duty with the Health Unit the
students assumed full respon-
sibility in the field and carried
out their duties admirably, Mr.
McCaul explained. They were
responsible for the full line of
Health Unit activities involving
sewage, summer camps, swim-
ming pools and food premises.
cone of the major projects the
student became involved in was
a survey of food premises and
their report will be analyzed
this fall and reworked into a
standing file on restaurants
and other food outlets.
Once back at the Ryerson In-
stitute Mr. Hullah .and Mr.
Paquette will complete work on
a thesis which is to be based on
one part of the field training
they had through their summer
posting.
Mr. Paquette completed a
survey of sanitation for the
village of Londesboro during
his summer's work and the
completed thesis will outline
the situation there and make
recommendations on what is
needed and how it should be
achieved.
Meat inspection will be the
topic of Mr. Hullah's thesis
with the subject matter arising
from work he completed in con-
nection with the slaughter
house in Dashwood.
