Recre1Action
We are on the last lap of our
summer grant. We have lear-
nedas much from our mistakes
aa we have from our suceesses.
We tried to listen to the needs
of the populace and from this
we have set up a total of 15
programs. Some have been
working smoothly and some
have fizzled due to lack of in-
terest.
Two staff members are ap-
plying for a . specialized grant
from 1 --the 'provincial govern-
ment. If it is accepted we will
use the following format:
A youth council will
represent every age and sub-
culture dominant in the town.
Their function will be to hear
the voice of youth and to tran-
slate pinto viable programs.
Hopefully this year Goderich,t
will be.a town rich in all areas
of recreation. We hope that
everyone will have all their
recreational needs satisfied.
At this time I would like to
take the time to thank Paul
Brown who came into our office
and volunteered to instruct
people interested in tennis in
what little time is left. He is of-
fering advanced as well as
beginners' lessons. if you would
like to touch up your game you
can sign up by calling 521-261
.,or coming to 26 the Square,,.
