Suddenly the summer is Now, back to what else is
--alrnbst over. Seems a lot of us happening around here—or
wait for the "almost over" bit will be happening --
before we 'realize we haven't ..The, Sr. B I1 Club Special
really had any summer. ' Tournament for Labor Day
Not that we haven't had the Weekend wt be bigger than
heat and rain of summer—but ever. It is just great the way it
-that we haven't done any of the has grown eac year isn't it?
things we planned to do or
haven't taken that vacation we
promised ourselves. So now it's
a little late, don't you think?
We have one more long
weekend—Labor Day—coming
up, and that is usually spoiled
for many families who leave
the buying of school clothes
etc., until the last minute,,,
I've had two of the "Florida"
MacPhersons -vacationing with
me for a while and they tell
me they start .school the last
week in August.
The "Windsor" MacPher-
sons think that is terrible.
Since I'm speaking of
MacPhersons—my sons and
their families—Doug and
Madeline arrived last weekend
from Florida and are renewing
pleasant memories around the
district. This is their first trip
"home" in four years. ,
Don, Fran and family have
been visiting here also—so I've
been -REALLY_ _ "out of
mischief". It was just great to
see them all and they all love
Goderich.
I firmly believe this Rath -
burn -MacPherson family have
been Goderich's biggest
boosters. So, there!
Madeline's mother, Mrs.
(Harold) Laura Currie has also
been spending a few weeks in
Goderich with brother, Fred
Price.

There will be teams from
Stratford, Kitchener,. -Windsor,
London—and many more -
regulars -plus some new teams
making up about 32 teams.
Goderich top four will also
play for top honours—and we
sure hope -at Ieast4NE of them
makes it.
Anyway, as before, they will •
be great games and well worth
your attention. -
Today is "Penny CarniyaZ
and this rounds up some of the
activity at Judith, Gooderham
Park, at least as far as arts and
crafts and that type of activity
goes.,
Swimming carries on. Sailing
instruction still continues.
Recre/Action continues, at Vic-
toria St. School.
Art -Trek starts on Aug. ?l to
25 at. the Queen Elizabeth
School. Anyone with children
interested in Art—and.(i4,his

territory—should see that their
youngsters attend this great
class. See the advertisement re
ART TREK.
So there are still lots of
things going on—enough to
keep us all busy—and out of
mischief—and this is GOOD.
Love
Martha.

25. IN MEMORIAM
SCHWEITZER—In loving memory
of our ,dear daughter and sister
Sherry Lynn who left us suddenly 2
years ago. August 20, 1971.
We knew little when we woke that
morning -
The sorrow the day would bring
The call was sudden, the shock
severe,
To part with the one we loved so
dear
Sometimes its hard to understand,
Why some things have to be. - -
But in His wisdom God has plan-
ned,
Beyond our pcoy,.ers to see.
God gave us strength to fight
And courage to bear the blow,
But what it meant to lose you,
Sherry
,No one will ever know.
—Sadly missed and will never be
forgotten by Mom, Dad, Terry, -
Kelly and Kim. -33
BEAN -1 would like to express my
