meets
Approximately 200 people
met in the village of In-
verhuron Sunday afternoon to
hear the Inverhuron Commit-
tee of . Concern outline its
progress to date and its future
goals.
Chairman of the meeting was
Dr. Doug Stewart of St. An-
drews Presbyterian Church ,in
Toronto who owns a cottage at.
Inverhuron.
Bill MacKenzie, chairman of
the committee was the first to
address the crowd. He stated
that the' committees primary
concern was for "the Depart
trent of Naturae Resources to
retain ownership of the park.
The committee now has over
3,000 name4 on a petition
although the group has been
prohibited from circulating the
petition in the park for the last
two weeks because of a provin-
cial parks law which prohibits
soliciting, The committee in-
tends to test the law in the
courts sometime this week.
Mi. MacKenzie then infor-
med the crowd about his'
correspondence with the
Atomic Energy Control Board
and again accused Hydro of
misrepresentation of the AECB
position.
Mrs. June Ruddock followed
Mr. MacKentie to the
microphone . and outlined her
findings on air pollution as
caused by Ontario Hydro.
The contents of the speeches
were quite similar, to that of a
story entitled,"Inverhuron
Committee charges " which
.appeared in last week's News.
A motion was passed to con-
tinue the fight to save the park.

Right from the kick-off, the
Falcons went on the attack pep-
pering the Sarnia net with long
range shots. For the first fifteen
minutes, Sarnia was pinned in
their own end. During this
time, Goderich goaler Jo Jo
Watt only touched the ball
once.
The only score in the first
half came when Grant Shelton
touched the ball enough to -put
it over the goal line before the
Sarnia defender could clear it.
In the second half, Sarnia
went- directly to the attack- but
were stymied by the stellar
goaltending of Watt, The
Falcons withstood the attack
and bounced back to the offen-
sive forcing the Sarnia goalten-
der to make some fine sayes to
keep them in the game. ,
Goderich was not., to be
denied however. as Mike An-
drew picked a rebound off the
cross -bar and fired it into 'the
Sarnia net to make it 2-0.
Minutes later the Falcons
made it 3-0 on a fine effort by
Pat Conlon. Goderich thinking
they had a comfortable -lead as
the minutes ticked off, fell back
into, defensive football. Sarnia
